Fake Facebook Traffic - HUUUGE SPIKE

Lol @ you ballers flashing your $20 bills around. Thanks for offering to pony up such big amounts though fellas, especially to JV who earns $15K per day (which works out to be $10/min) and to buddy who's telling me not to hire fake actors.

With that incentive talk aside, I'm still tempted to go over there and bust some caps. Kneecaps that is...

wonder if after they sort this click fraud out peeps will start to roll out the opposite -- non-click fraud. refresh the ad board 10,000,000 times on a demographic to crash CTR and jack up the CPC. wouldn't that be something -- although would be pretty loud/easy to pick up on fb's part.

FBCopter scrapper

OK guys, about FBCopter.
I'm the guy who created it.
1. The tool is inactive for the last 2 weeks since I tried to modify it for sale. So there is no way, it was my tool clicking.
2. The tool worked through US proxy, so any clicks you would see would come from US. Otherwise what's the point to scan US ads from Canada, really?
3. To discover landing page you need to click on ad once, the first time the ad appears in the archive database, not multiple times, otherwise it would be stupid.
4. The tool does not use the huge tail at the end of the ad redirect URL (which Facebook encrypts). I tested on my own ads and clicks were not registered. I could be wrong though, but I tried my best.
5. What you see on your stats is the old trick of forcing competition out by using automated bot clicker. I'm sure that if you analyze the ads clicked, it could be the same theme like dating ads or gaming ads. If there is no pattern, it's probably some idiot just pissed at FB and trying to make them mad at your expense. The bot seems to work through rotation of proxy servers, most probably automatically picking them up from those free proxy lists on the Internet. That's why they seem to be coming from all over the world. Most certainly it's not FB scrappers.
6. Facebook does care of this problem. Unfortunately, they are not Google and do no have resources to fix it quickly or fix it at all. It's not a big secret that BlackHaters love Facebook at the moment. Their system is still in infancy, and is going to be there for a while.
7. As of my FBCopter scrapper. It's there to stay. It's either me or someone else will come to the market to take my place. After multiple complains, I did scrapped landing page discovery functionality and going to release it soon. You can be pissed at it and not using it, but others will and you will be left behind. So, you could well take advantage of it before others do.

P.S. NOTE to admins. You can go ahead and ban this account or remove this post entirely. Not that I would care. :-) Or you can make 25% of all recurring revenue by helping me selling the scrapper.

Just paused all FB campaigns due to similar numbers. Emailed them and talked to my rep. Bunch of assholes. Like other people already mentioned, I hope that advertiser notices some big discrepancies and decides to act on it.

I'm going to laugh if this just turns out to be some poor schmuck with a buggy scraper.

Yeah, anyone who created a scraper and captures the destination url of the ad is really walking a fine line.

Anyone who clicks those links from the scraper is going to register clicks for the advertiser.

And how many people do you think are going to do that.............?

Should make sure you grabbed his IP before banning and do some backtracking on him. I would say he came through a proxy but if the dumbass really wants to admit to doing what he does that is about 10 different federal felonies. I paused all my small campaigns and couldn't imagine how pissed I would be if I had any big money ones on it. Facebook continues to be dipshits about the thing that brings them their money, can't rely on fucking VC money forever.
