The thing I was having snag me was
"No Shipping On Orders of $50 or More"
Avoided the word free... But the dollar amount I think was forcing my ad copy to be reviewed manually?

I don't know a whole lot about "getting around" shit... but recently the ads that were working are not any more...

You have to be original in your ad copy... someone said something about dating offers have to contain the actual company's domain address in the ad copy... I keep hearing things... but not seeing.

I'm really disappointed "thefacebook" has not come up with at least a piece of shit TOS for us to have as the "advertisers." We need to know what is allowed, what is not. CLEARLY... I know the little fucksters out in Palo Alto are gonna see this thread...

Its fucking retarded... For such a big and rich company this is a piss poor start to launching their ppc platform.

Which by the way did I mention is going to be THE biggest way they profit? Expect facebook profits to skyrocket now that it allows individual advertisers (AMs). People are throwing money at them and they are providing piss poor quality...

Hopefully... and I say that optimistically, The Facebook will get their shit together.

Yes, I will have any where from 2 to 20 at a time that are the same offer and duplicates of each other.

I haven't have any issues with "Free" in my copy so long as my offer was truly free.

As soon as I put the site name in, my ads would run... but I think someone got in my niche cause I was having to bid twice as much to get any decent page views afterwards. That or they started nailing with a bad Quality Score. (I did start to get their "Facebot" crawler hitting my site right before things started going downhill)

Yes, I would love to just shovel money at them, but they're bastards and provide crappy support. I hope they can get on the ball and define what is acceptable and smooth things out.

I ran into the same thing today when I tried putting the domain name at the bottom when the br's appeared. I just avoided line breaks and added my domain to the end of the sentence and it worked.

There error messages suck but they do make the trial and error path simple because you can start out with a near blank ad, accept the ad, but instead of paying to make the ad active, just click to re-edit the ad. I just kept adding body text until I got what I wanted instead of guessing what their stupid vague err msgs meant.

It also took about an hour for flyer to start showing impressions.
 
yeah they say the hour delay is a reporting delay, but its actually so they can review the ads. I had one get through, but I deleted it and when i reused it, it was automatically disabled. the ad was appropriate though, so who knows. i just dont want to get my personal facebook acct. banned or get ip banned.
 
You're not going to get IP banned or your regular facebook account either for that matter...

I'm done with FB for today...got a few ads still running but no more for now.

Working on a bigger project to fit their mysterious advertiser's TOS
 
They didn't give you marching orders... they disabled your account from advertising. You can still log into the account and do regular bullshit that you do on FB - Just no advertising or buying gifts. And No, you will never get "Un-Banned"

Just out of curiosity I threw up a dating offer last night. I was able to get it running (First try, hey!) within an hour and within 20 minutes it was maxed.

Pulled it down, threw up the same exact ad copy, and within minutes its disabled.

Fucking FB... I'll just keep spending my money where its wanted :)
 
FB's been pulling every attempt at a legitimate ad that meets all of their guidelines, before even fucking visiting the destination. I've tried tons of varieties of ad text and photos, and they're all getting disabled within minutes, or active with no clicks for hours, then disabled.

This is a fresh account, fresh credit card, fresh billing address, etc.
 
wsmith810, I totally agree with the spend the money where it is wanted. We have a dating offer that gets maxed everyday too, and that $50 limit is just weird!
 
do gay or straight dating offers convert better on fb? (totally serious question)
