Extreme results, disclaimers to be overhauled by FTC

WTF. Why would you need to cancel? Couldn't you make back the money you spent by promoting it and earning money on sales referrals? Or is the product really that crappy? Maybe now we are starting to understand why the FTC is getting involved in the first place, because these "products" aren't worth anyone's time, even the people involved in making and/or selling it.

  1. I'm not wrinkly.
  2. I'm not fat.
  3. I don't have acne.
  4. I know my credit score.
4 great reasons I'd cancel. Ignoring the obvious customer service issues.

Thats why this industry is so much fun. These fuckers at the FTC make new rules and the industry finds a way to get by them. Keeps us on our toes and sharp.

Off-shore. That's where to take the offers and the advertising. The FTC has no jurisdiction outside the US.

So, if my weight-loss blog is hosted on a server located in Panama, and is owned by a company registered in the Caymans, what can the FTC do about it?

A lot.

If any US company owes you money, it could go directly to the FTC. So could money in your US bank account. There are also international agreements on consumer enforcement, so don't expect foreign accounts to be immune.

Ever hear of debt collection on third world governments? Chances are you have assets stored at some first world bank.

If you are a US citizen and try to hide where the money is coming from, or that you have it, you could get nailed for money laundering along with other charges. Easy way to turn some fines into prison time.

Most people here seem to have a problem with negative option billing. That is a gray area. Fake testimonials are not.

Probably a good time to play by the rules. Alternatively McDonalds may still be hiring.

I'm in OZ and I'm going to be pushing the envelope as far as i can until I get a little C&D notice in ma inbox.

This really fucking sucks, I hope this gets fought hardcore, fucking cunts.

Time to make those 100% 60 day money back guarantees shine eh!

I really do like how no one wants to do anything about it themselves and just hope it gets fixed its self or let some one else do it.
