Mountain biking on the Sunshine Coast.

Had to give up it though. Met too many guys with SERIOUS injuries, like crushed vertebrae, to be comfortable doing it anymore.

Now this is extreme

I just saw this a couple days ago. Now watch the full version (starts with Skiing off of cliff

I love skiing and boarding, the steeper the better and I am a PADI Open Water Certified Diver ~90 feet. I have also gone kite boarding a bit, and I can sail. One of the biggest adrenaline rushes for me is car-racing. Oh and paintball is fun, that can be an adrenaline hit.

On my to-do list are: Skydiving, bungie jumping, cliff diving, hang-gliding and fixed-wing gliding

Hmm. Extreme Outdoor Activities?

Sometimes I take the trash out. At night.

I'm not much of an adrenaline junkie. I'm extremely scared of heights and anything that might involve me dying just isn't a good time for me, call me crazy. The activies I do outdoors are fishing and camping. Yeah, rock star. I know. Watch out.

Unfortunately, one of those skiers in the beginning (Shane McConkey) died just 4 days ago while filming a ski-BASE jump in Italy when he couldn't get his chute opened in time :(

RIP ... a true inspirational and innovative man to the sport of skiing.

Thats exactly why i bungee jumped 200 feet, cause i'm scared shitless of heights... and you know what.... i'm still scared... but i dont get that wobbly feeling in the knees anymore.... i save that for the ladithh.

I've gone skydiving and bungee jumping (highest bungee bridge in the US - 120 ft)

I actually found bungee jumping to be more of a rush.

Next time get strapped by your ankles, instead of body... head first... and jump backwards.... tis a good rush.

That is terrible. Life on the edge however. RIP Shane.

Truly sad. I got this from the official statement:

J.T. Holmes, a close friend and long-time jump partner of McConkey who had jumped the 600 meter cliff moments before Shane, said McConkey performed a double backflip from the cliff and planned to release his skis and then fly in his wingsuit, a stunt he's executed a number of times. But when both skis failed to release upon tugging on straps leashed to his legs, McConkey went into an upside down position as he manually attempted to release his bindings. Because throwing a chute while inverted poses the likelihood of the canopy and lines becoming entangled in the skis, McConkey used valuable seconds to focus on removing both skis and succeeded. He quickly turned into a classic, face down BASE jumping position to throw his pilot chute (which pulls out the main canopy), but after 12 seconds of freefall he struck snow immediately before there was time to react. He was killed upon impact.
Obviously this guys skills are on a level that I can't even comprehend. Could he have opted for a diff position and just throw the chute? Was manually trying to break free of the skis the only option here? RIP.

Extreme catapulting = Darwin Award shortlist.

I used to take near-lethal quantities of drugs at festivals on a regular basis. Does that count?

These days I stick to gardening in the rain for my thrills. That and some mountain biking.

great clip - looks incredible, but I'll stick with extreme catapult...

That part at 03:18 where he buzzes by the road is awesome.

I'd say the wing suit flyers take it for extreme

damn thats extreme....and awesome... almost like flying. Impossible is nothing.

From what I've read it sounded like when he was having trouble releasing the 2nd ski it caused him to spiral and go into a high speed spin. I'm sure the g-forces were making it too hard to reach the pull cord in time.

I do a lot of snowmobiling in northern Maine and Canada.

towsurfing gets my blood going, weeeeee

Freediving through these lava tubes that are around my house is really fun too, although more in the zen category than extreme....

This looks like something I'd like to try in the future:
