suprisingly not. I worked in clear lake (south houston) and only would do it when people would say "now, I don't know much about computers but..." that was kind of the key phrase

LOL. Used to do similar things when working at Disneyland years ago. When rides broke down, cast members have to stand out front and field lame questions, the most popular of which being "why is the ride closed?". At the Haunted Mansion a popular response was "we blew an orb". That made me giggle every time.
