This is just a question:

If a provider is just getting a service from a person on another forum and charging 3 times the price here.

1. Should you just let it fly?
2. Out em?

I have seen this done before for the same service and the provider went scammer, not saying this would happen again, I just hate seeing people pay 4 time what the actual price is.

Not 100% sure yet but investigating.

Also could ask the provider to come here as well..

I just call that capitalism and us yanks embrace it. Don't worry about paying an "extorted" rate short term, the market will work itself out once other people see profit in the service.

Hard to blame magicmike ... it's a real possibility that he got exactly what the OP said he would and then we a bait & switch happen. He came back and cleared it up later

yahoo answers has been permabanned .. I didn't read through everything but did read the OP and some of the replies late in the thread and it sounds like his intention was to pull a loss leader scam. Hit the review copies with something to get rep, itrader & reviews then gave all of the purchasers something of far less value.

This is exactly why you should consider buy only from reputable sellers who have a history here. When you take a chance on a new person, you run this exact risk. Post payment is ideal when dealing with noobs, but not many sellers will work that way.

It sucks that it's happening at all here, but scamming is running rampant at other forums (BHW anyone???). This is why I've been so vocal this past year about cleaning up the SBT ... it's always been better than the rest, but we're looking at the very real possibility that we might be the last true haven to purchase hardcore SEO services at minimal risk.

Anyway, yahooanswers is a fucking rip off artist & every post he's ever made was deleted. I backtracked his IP and no other users were on his c-block, which is good because there might have been some collateral damage with this one.

I did not read the whole thread, there is really no way to tell.. At a glance looked like someone that gave review without really looking at everything and posting "its all good".

I had asked some questions in that thread and never heard back anything so I went about my biz. But others did buy based on the review, another reason to post a detailed review.

Could also look at it like if your stupid enough to not ask questions and get the facts then roll the dice then you deserve to get burned. But I hate for anyone get burned.

I wonder if having some review guidelines in place might help? If you do a review you need to post the certain details and not just "hey that was good shit mayne"
 
As for people reselling services...yeah it sucks but it's a free market. If I wanted to post a P4 laptop for $1,000 on Craigslist it would be considered legal so long as I'm not lying about what it is. It may not be moral but if someone's stupid enough to buy it without checking around then that's their fault. Of course if you're lying and saying that it's 10x as powerful as a brand new $3,000 computer then yeah, it's wrong. The same principles apply here.
