End of Liberty - Why You Would Never want to Visit America! (Merika)

Asia: 3rd world, parasites (almost guaranteed) 1,000% different lifestyle, super hot women but at the end of the day - 3rd world.
I hope Thailand will be better (I think so).
I hate to keep acting like Bangkok's head cheerleader here but when I'm in town I can't help but think of the USA as the 3rd world country... The city of BKK itself is as large as any in the US but is filled with high-rise towers the whole way from edge to edge... The luxury to be had in BKK is something you pretty much can't buy in the US at any price. (And no I'm not talking about strippers.)

Heck, just one of the mega malls downtown like Siam Paragon or Central World alone will give you enough to see, do, be entertained by, and purchase for the rest of your life in total gelato-stuffed luxury that you'll never want to see the US again.

It can be 3rd world in Thailand out in the bush and by the beaches of course, but since everyone in Thailand goes to BKK sometime, the country as a whole is very civilized and even a half-naked mango farmer in the south should know where you can get some free wifi in the area.

BKK just can't be compared to other countries this way. That city and the country of Japan are in a class of their own, ABOVE america's standards. I know of many worldly brands I can buy in BKK that I can't get anywhere in the USA because our stupid populace just won't appreciate them.

New Zealand: Looks damn dandy to me.
New Zealand is awesome, everything is cheap, lots of open space and business opportunities. But I wouldn't recommend it if you are young/into partying. New Zealand girls are not exactly nice to look at... Plus it's really hard to travel from here. Good place to settle down and have kids though.
Yeah all analysis points there. If they will have me. I want to raise my kid there.
Ask KimDotCom if New Zealand is awesome. I know he used to think so...

My only problem with it other than that issue is the isolation thing. That far from the rest of the world means that these blokes don't get all the best malls, foods, and brands as often as a big city like BKK or Tokyo.

Yeah, it sucks in many areas of the US but there are also many other areas that are extremely nice, laid back where no one cares.

Take my county for instance. Median murder rate less than any country in Europe, and 10% of the people carry guns on them.
If you're on US soil, even Puerto Rico, Guam and the Virgin Islands, you're subject to federal laws like the NDAA and can go missing in the night, forever, just as easily.

If you're on the mainland then I don't think your town will escape the eventual bloody revolution, no matter how laid back they are today.

What really bothers me is that most people in this country don't take any kind of action. They just chalk it up to "tough times" and vow to work that 2nd job for their family because that's what hard working Americans do. Fuck, even the kids don't seem bothered about it. Guess they think they'll be supported by mommy and daddy the rest of their lives.

I expected that some kind of counterculture would arise from all this bullshit, much like the 60s reaction to the Vietnam War. But the only thing that has come from this is a misguided, unfocused OWS movement that hasn't done anything to fix the problem.

Where is the protest in today's music? Aren't these kids angry that they'll have to eventually pay off their bloated college loans for their worthless degrees and still have no job when they get out? Or are they too zoned out on Lithium to even care?

If this were the late 70's-early 80's, the punk movement would take this shit and run with it. It's a shame that scene had to be wasted on an era which didn't really need it because that kind of anger and revolt is what's needed today.
I'll tell you what's wrong with that country without ever having been there: Prozac. Ativan. Ritalin. Television. Entitlement. "Education". Political correctness.

I have read this post and I have been out of the US for 2 years (In Europe and Asia).
I DREAD going back oh fuck how I dread it. But, let's discuss options:

Canada: Looks great, but the semi-bitch of USA.. still on the table.
Western Europe: Collapsing Euro, drowning in Islam riots imminent in England and France.
Central Europe: Switzerland looks great, self-sustaining, throws middle finger to Euro and lowest crime rate in the world (everyone is armed). Hungary, currently in protests but middle fingering GM crops.
Eastern Europe: Russia. Kicking ass. Still semi-retarded lifestyle outside of large cities, proud nationalists, tough people.
Asia: 3rd world, parasites (almost guaranteed) 1,000% different lifestyle, super hot women but at the end of the day - 3rd world.
Oceania: Austrailia is becoming a police state from what I have been reading, still nice idea though. Rougher lifestyle outside of cities, lots a shit that can kill you.
New Zealand: Looks damn dandy to me.

That's the contents of my notebook.

I have heard that the US is now making it harder to leave the country ? So I will have a problem exiting again ?

What about an outlying island of some third world country? Or the mountains. Who wants to meet people? Fuck them. Just fly out to a good city whenever you want to party...

I don't fully agree, though I get the gist of what you're saying. Bangkok is still fucking crowded and polluted compared to say Singapore. But yes, you can buy anything you want and get away with murder, which in my books is real freedom. And it is nice if you live a balling a-lister lifestyle. Bangkok is fucking amazing, while on the subject...any fans of the Eden club on here? :D (not a nightclub)

Just don't walk around on the streets....stay in the limo and bangkok is paradise. But it is kind of ghetto for those of us who don't want to (or can't) throw about $xxxx daily :P

Anyway, the US is still the best country on the planet in terms of business opportunities, entertainment and a kickass overall culture. It's disappointing how quickly it's become a police state though. They have your fucking DNA on file, look it up. Government with so much power can't stay benevolent for too long.

Just watched in one sitting (rare for me).

A lot of valid points raised. Serious problems.

But am I the only one who watched this entire thing and thought "damn, that's how you put together a sales video if you want to move a shitload of gold..."?

Or by their uncle, obviously. :usa:

Yep, all of that has a very strong spin machine to get past nowadays.

Remember, the root of these problems are all tied to the invention of the petrodollar. The gov wouldn't have to be so authoritarian if it didn't have to defend it's immoral practices protecting the petrodollar. And when did that debut? Around the end of 'nam, conveniently.

So since the early '70's has the reason existed for the US to become like this... And naturally it would have taken them a few years to perfect these techniques.

But now that their skills have matured, like Bigwill said, they control the thoughts of even their opponents thru the use of the MSM and other propoganda. Perfect example: You just called the OWS movement "unfocused." That word was programmed into you by the media. You are in actuality wrong, OWS has a solid focus against the connections between politicians and Wall street but what you have seen reporting of is the end product put out by the MSM.

Even a huge movement like that, tens of thousands of people TAKING ACTION around the globe; is all spun into "misguided, unfocused hippies" for the consumption of the masses. It's truly scary.

Even in the recording industry (and obviously hollywood) they control the message 100% so don't look for any more messages against the establishment there.

About the only thing they can't 'spin' is a full revolution. I was never afraid it would come to that in our lifetimes until just recently with all of this Non-MSM, non-controlled truth getting out online, such as this video. -Which is obviously why our uncle is trying so hard to remove free speech from the internet now.

Teh internetz is doomed, yo. Hope you guys have made enough money off it already!

Now here's the interesting part: Twitter and Facebook updates have been found to be more addictive than cigarettes! Think about the implications here. A population on this planet that is far larger than the American population is rapidly becoming used to, nay, ADDICTED to, free speech on the internet.

At the same time our glorious uncle has decided to stop us from being free there. Can you say stormy horizon?

<popcorn.gif>

I can't see how they can control the entire music industry. There will always be independents that are too small to be owned by major corps and that sign whatever artists they want. It's up to the people and particularly the youth of this country to start protesting via music. These bands get signed by indie labels and before you know it, a musical movement has started.

Anyone else feel like over the past few years you have had to completely reprogram your brain to stop blindly accepting everything that is shoved down our throats from the oppressive government supported by the criminal enterprise known as the federal reserve, and other groups with vested interest in a completely obedient and brain dead population with absolutely no fucking rights whatso fuckingever?

I mean I really want to smash something right now. Some of the SHIT they are fucking doing, they don't even hide it anymore. Tracking gold purchases because nobody wants your worthless tender that YOU AND YOU ALONE DROVE INTO THE FUCKING GROUND? The whole system is fucking corrupt and god bless america it should fall.

If China has to be the new superpower, so be it. The current system is morally bankrupt but most people are sheep and are none the wiser.

They just have to control the big labels and the big outlets.

So if a small label does not play ball they are made smaller in the game, they lose contracts, they lose spots on radio shows, they lose out on Music channels. They get problems with IRS or Police when they want to preform live shows. Etc.

I liked the part right near the beginning where it is illegal in some wacked out community to collect rain water and use it in your garden

Since the fed. make money, do they pay taxes ? on the profits they make :/

They must make gazllions

^Of course Food Inc. would be a great place to start, but pretty much anything in the Health, History, Politics, and Society section of Top Docs will set your ass on edge like this one.

(Except that top docs generally has a higher standard on what gets in their list than this film did.)

Check out Gasland. It documents the fracking that is going on around this country, resulting in people's water supply being tainted.

Fracking is fucking horrible, no idea why it is not outright banned worldwide.

Cute, you think Canada isn't doing the exact same.

Haha, it's funny to watch the devolution of a country and morons like you. No, it may surprise you but the rest of the world does not blindly adhere to the laws created in America and actually create rules along democratic principles. Infact, many countries would take centuries to catch up to the embedded commercial interests that has lobbied and drained any ounce of credibility from your legal establishment. After all the hateful rhetoric that you have spewed out on these boards - in relation to politics, welfare, etc karma is just coming back round to take a punch. It's interesting, because I have visited America and Arab countries in the last couple years - I felt more freedom in the latter. Some examples of how weirdly backwards the USA is: Only 2 political parties. The fact a large percentage of your country are still heavily religious. The current one party pre-election campaigns costing hundreds of millions.

The fact a large percentage of your country are still heavily religious.
Arab countries are worse. At least in America one can presumably speak out against religion without getting their head cut off for heresy.

The problem with both cultures is that the people take themselves way too seriously when they aren't really qualified to do so. That's why everyone likes Thailand so much, the secret to their prosperity is their apathy. The knowledge that making rule after rule and trying to impose it on everyone won't make a fucking difference at all.

*Just playing the devil's advocate ;)
