Does anyone know of a good national/local way of recruiting employees, in the ballpark of...free?

Craigslist charges $25 per post and the area of the country I live in there is so much action on that particular category it gets pushed down within a day, so my manager needs to post every day almost.

All the big ones like monster.com and career builder charge 250 and up for listings or monthly subscriptions.

any insight>?

Kijiji is a cesspool if you know how to get creative. You can't make reference to online work, but they're craploads of jobs advertised here in Canada, eh...

hah - wom (had to google it) is actually picking up fairly well. i put a few 8.5x11s at bus stops and got some decent calls from that actually.

i think i may try newspaper classifieds, i keep forgetting about the newspaper :)

ive always gotten kind of a scandalous impression from backpage, will give it a go

im really not looking for brilliant minds, just zombies that can cold call 300 people per day without picking their head up. CL for instance if I get 50 calls, 10 people are qualified interviews, 4 of them show up for the interview, and 1-2 actually start working. my retention is getting better in the beginning a broker would only stay for a few weeks now i have a few that are there for 3+ months.

i've only ever used monster, careerbuilder and dice when looking for jobs. just saying...

There is something wrong with you. You've made enough cash to afford your own personal cook but you have problems recruiting. You need quality employees but $250 is too much to spend on somebody you're going to pay xx,xxx per year.

Your company is so shitty nobody hears about you and applies through your website? I think you're fishing for places to post your ads so you can redirect them to biz ops.

gee thanks....

never said that *this* company is booming. tbh the sales end has been a back and forth struggle with all of the turnover thats why i am seeking help here. its really about trying to eliminate another 250/month bill and cut expenses.

i cut back on bizops when the ftc came down on rebills, not a bad method though.

I don't think that I can send private messages yet, so forgive the airing of laundry here.

If you need help with recruiting mindless zombies for cold calling, I have a swipe file of previous advertisements, where I posted them successfully, and a couple years of experience with rounding people up.

You can post your email or website for me to contact you, if you like.
