Email/Zip Submits and PPC

I'm having a hard time finding email submits that aren't of the "sign up for this other junk too and refer 2 people who also have to sign up" kind of thing. I assume those don't convert nearly as well, or are you guys making money on those too?

What network are you looking at? They are all like that I think, but the people can't see that on the ones I've seen until after they enter their e-mail or zip. They should just say participation required or something.

For example, when the London bombing happened i bought the term London bombing and several others that were related (traffic surged in Google for these terms once it happened), since it was a new term no one was bidding on it, i threw a monkey page together that said something like, do you think the London bombings were a terrorist attack? Vote now and enter to win a free plasma TV, i then sent them from my monkey page to the plasma TV offer. This worked for a day then everyone else jumped on it and raised the CPC so i backed off it.

Smart thinking :)

Exactly. Who cares once they've input what I need to get paid. I wish they'd put less of the "participation required" language on the landing pages. Hurts my CTR.

Havok,

Are you using adwords?

How would that be outside the box? I hate that phrase...lol. Half the time people say it to just be bastards and leave you hanging w/o help. Half the time they think they're being clever by using it to mean they're doing some kind of offline promotion. The other half they're just saying, I thought of this so I'm smarter than you. :)

Would you rather he give you all his secrets so every newb can flood the market and his techniques no longer work? You won't make money for long giving away your techniques. Think outside the box by doing something different from what your competitors are doing. and once you find what works, keep it for yourself, and exploit it. There is a reason why companies like Apple and Microsoft try to keep their projects secret until it is ready for launch. They don't want 5 big wannabes from America and 100 little wannabe's from China stealing their market.

Can you at least reveal if you are using search engines to generate your traffic?
