For all you eBook lovers out there, it looks like the first ones have penetrated the iPhone App Store:

I wonder if the iPhone App Store will start getting an influx of eBook peddlers, forcing them to ban the category much like eBay tried to do earlier this year.

I would have guessed, in previous years, that iPhone users were a bit more savvy than the average bear. But, the product is hitting more of a mass audience now. Not to mention, you can never understimate the stupidity of the public.

Interested to see how people think this will turn out...
 


I wish people would separate eBooks as a product from Get-Rich-Quick shit that happens to dominate the marketing side of it.

A actually like being able to read books on my phone. I've got about 2gb of books in .LIT format... But they're all fiction, because they're just their to entertain me while I'm on a train or something.

What shits me about this is that there's a golden opportunity for real eBooks, like ones direct from the publishers, to come out on an official iPhone channel, and no one seems to have picked up on it.
Hell, with the size of the screen, it'd even be possible to do graphic novels like Platinum Grit and revive that particular industry.

This is where you're wrong beanface. The avg public is smarter than the avg mac user. Who pays more for an inferior product and gets locked in with AT&T? APPLE USERS (esp. the dumbasses with macbooks).

@Harvey - the article actually comments that THESE iPhone books are okay/valued... but what happens when WarriorForums and DP tards start trying to peddle ebooks on iPhone, etc... thats the question.

EBay tried to ban ebooks but now they just burn them to CD and put the CD up for auciton.
 
Blackberry bold will be mine when it comes out as well. I can also replace the battery if it breaks or runs out... what happens when an iphone battery gets f'd? Oh yah, you have to send you whole god damn phone in.

Oh, how do you copy & paste on an iphone.... YOU CANT. MMS -> need 3rd party... how can you feel the keys when youre driving and txting... oh you cant bc its retarded. nice try beaner.

The only thing more annoying then iPhone fanboys on the net, is iPhone fanboys in your office...

My retarded boss and his gay sidekick both have iPhones and look like a bunch of 10 year old dorks playing a fuckin gameboy as they stand next to each other staring inches away from the screen going 'Oh oh oh look what I just did!'

I also find it ironic that the iPhone has been labeled by a business class phone by some people when in actuality, its almost the farthest thing from it. The people who are all iphone this, iphone that, arent power users at all, they are fucking soccer moms that want to walk around like they are special because they have an iPhone - they dont know how to use the phone enough to notice its shortcomings, they just like it because its the in thing and its shiny...

Fuck the iPhone and every piece of retarded shit that uses one...
