eBay changing to pay per click

Rob did you see what I posted over here http://www.wickedfire.com/affiliate-marketing/68801-got-some-epn-qpc-dirt-dish.html#post620617 They talked about the spider issue. (In the forum) Epn seems to think there's not a problem with it and then at itall equals out but the 'one lung' guy had a point with what about the two or 3 days after the bots?

EDIT: You gotta consider though, that if you did that with other peoples epn ids that there a good possibility you're taking down some friends, like me. I told you you wouldn't get your account back you could have been up and running with a new one after all the time it took you to argue with them.

That's why I coded a whitelist. :)

And I'm trying to play nice, but yeah I may just have to result in buying accounts. Meh.

Has anyone else seen an earnings tank this month? The first half was solid, the last week or two have been shite.

I don't believe I have been shifted over. But I'm pushing the same click and impression #s I was through the first part of the month, I earned a couple hundred bucks in 10 days, and then nothing since. Everyday, they just post zeros for earnings, and barely any bids.

I'm mostly in the holiday and back to school sort of niches. I should be booming right now.

Ever since they announced that new structure, everything has gone to crap. Not that is related, but what a lousy coinkydink.

Whatever, this isn't my bread and butter anyways.

Did they shift you over to quality click? I've heard the same from all over and its all people who were shifted over.

What are you talking about? No one has shifted over yet. That won't happen until the 1st of September (I think) for anyone that gets approved after that date. For all of us we won't get shifted until October 1st. The only people who has any experience with this is the beta testers. The only one that I know of is the one on the phpbay forum and he says his earnings are higher.

Looking forward to that preview function though fer sher. (should be any day now)

Uhh... yeah Turbo, they have shifted people over (edit: a few, not everyone). I know a few on my Skype list that are already shifted over. http://www.wickedfire.com/industry-news/68048-ebay-changing-pay-per-click.html#post620404 I talked to him the day after he posted this, he said his earnings are literally half now. Sigh.

Well I'm still holding out on my wait and see attitude. I think a couple of days earnings from one person is not really enough to tell. That preview report (any fucking day now) will be killer since we'll actually be able to compare side by side the difference in real time. And you guys will finally convert me if anything is amiss, because I have had consistent targeted traffic for a couple of years, if, when this thing does finally shift to QCP, there's a sudden drop in traffic or "quality" according to ebay, I'll know you guys were right and they are full of shit.

I'd be surprised if there weren't any eBay posers in the PHPBay forums, or lurking in here for that matter.

Same story here. Last 2 weeks of August 08 sales/earnings dropped 50% for me too though (across multiple niches).

With all the recent changes its fucking hard not to break out the tinfoil hat every time something seems off with the numbers.

I didn't see anyone post this link yet, but if you want to read more about the new Quality Click BS program, you can check it out here. Second tab down on the left.

https://publisher.ebaypartnernetwork.com/PublisherUserManualPage

If you look under the General Questions area of the Quality Click Pricing, you'll see that EPN is actually letting some sites stay on CPA. So basically they're just picking and choosing who lives and who dies. I know it's their business, but if you're going to have an affiliate program, shouldn't you try to be consistent with it?

Can I choose to stay with the old program?

We will ask certain loyalty and cashback affiliates to stay on the CPA payout structure, because as these types of publishers reward their customers per transaction, this model is not well suited for Quality Click Pricing.
We will contact key loyalty and cashback affiliates eligible to stay on the CPA structure individually. If you fall into this category and we have not contacted you, please contact customer service: ePN-cs-english@ebay.com
All other business models will transition to Quality Click Pricing.

Has anyone checked your new Quality Click Pricing preview in the report area? It's in there and it will give you a side by side comparison of the CPA vs QCP for your campaigns from August 18th thru today. During that time period I've made $575 on the old pay scale. It shows that on the new QCP, I would have earned $1000.51 with my epc being $0.20 higher than than the old scale. So theoretically I'm going to be making twice as much per month on the new program. Yeah, I'll believe that shit at the end of September.
