Ok, so long story short, I haven't had medical insurance for a few years, and due to the lack thereof, I haven't filled my Adderall prescription in a few years...

So, do any of you have any good ideas as to either

a) Get Adderall via the net or anywhere without a formal doctors visit and all that shit...

or

b) Get a prescription without shelling out an assload of cash for high-priced doctors visits (possibly multiple visits before I can even get a prescription, if at all, and THEN I still have to pay for the damn prescription @ full cost)?

Up until a few months ago, I 'had' Addy's and paid a pretty decent price for them as I needed them...

I moved, and have no sources available anymore, and my productivity has seriously dropped 75%+/-

I used to be able to live off of my earnings, while working 6-8 hour days... Now I work 14-16 hour days and get probably 20-30% of what I used to done...

This shit blows.

Any tips?
P.S. The state does have a healthcare plan, but you have to make less than $880 per month in total income in order to qualify... I guess I could lie, but I've had enough trouble in the past, the last thing I need is to get nailed for lying to get state-funded healthcare.

P.S.S. If anyone has any pharmacy/etc sources that you don't want to post publicly, feel free to PM me. Thanks again

This is the result of gathering around a bunch of people that sit in a chair for 10+ hours per day and stare at a 20" square in front of them...

Is it any wonder Adderall is popular here?

That's like asking 'Why are there so many threads full of naked chicks here'...

No idea who she is... Sorry :\

This isn't a knock on you, but doesn't it bother you that you need something in order to be productive? Does that mean you're going to live your whole working life on Adderall?

Actually....

Yeah... It does. lol

It totally fucking blows. I've tried changing my work/play habits, tried working out a little more, different sleep patterns, all kinds of shit...

I can't say I'm 'fucked' without it, but if I'm not in the -perfect- environment (alone, quiet, perfect lighting, the right music, ZERO distractions, ZERO calls, etc) then I am alright... It's the other 99% of the time when shit isn't perfect that I just can't seem to get enough done, and it's starting to severely hit the bank account, so for the time being, Adderall will get me through, and once I get back into the right place, I can have my office and my set-aside work time, and I will hold up decently.

Well, I'm open to any ideas, so please do explain!

I've tried kicking caffeine and tobacco, and all junk food and fast food, which did actually help my energy, sex drive, and sleep, but it did nothing for work, and just made me chase girls more than I already do (which is a HUGE fucking distraction)

moral of the story? eat junk food and munch adderall for productivity. (seriously not knocking the OP, i've done my fair share of adderall and similar, not in a while however. just found the presentation here humorous) in all seriousness however, adderall over lengthy periods of time is fairly shitty. so is not having any more and trying to adjust back to something normalish. ive heard some good things about provigil however.. anyone with experience?

lmao
I guess that's one good way to look at it :)

You see, I was on Ritalin when I was younger, then I had a period of Addy, and then a few month stint with some 'not quite gotten by prescription' Vyvanse (sp?). I must say, I liked Vyvanse the most, as it was smoother, longer lasting, and not as 'ahh OMG!!11' as the other two, but that's just my experience...

Anyways, what I was getting too... I think a lot of my trouble comes from exactly what you speak of... Trying to figure out how to get repetitive and mundane shit done without something you're used to using to help.

It's a tough one.

Here's the shittiest part about all this...

I could leave right now and come back home in under 30 minutes with a bag of meth and a spoon full of Heroin, but I can't find any fucking Adderall or Vyvanse... The odd world of drugs I suppose.

(And no, I don't do meth or H hahaha... Just pointing out how stupid the situation is in my eyes)

Speaking of Meth... (not really)

Has anyone here tried setting up their laptop in a recliner? I use mine in a recliner from time to time, but its one of those things that I used to do a lot more back when I got more shit done... Haven't done it in quite some time... I've got the big desk and chair and shit, but it's painful and uncomfortable after so many fucking hours, so I think I may drag the desk out and plop a recliner down for a few days and see if maybe being comfortable helps...

Or fuck, maybe it'll just make me lazier...

Fucking good research! +rep!

LMS,

Help a guy out who doesn't understand what's going on here.

Are you saying that without Adderall you surf the Net instead of work? Play video games? Or just stare at the screen in a daze for minutes at a time? What exactly is the issue? Everybody has lack of energy at times. Going into the office and staring at a monitor everyday takes its toll on everybody.

If you're zoning out and/or falling asleep at your desk, then I can see your need for something, as that's not particularly normal. I dunno, even when I have low energy, I manage to concentrate and get shit done. It's more of a "have to" thing for me. My only indulgence throughout the day is this place for a quick break, other than that, I enjoy this world and have no real issues staying focused. I guess when you have 20+ windows open and multi tasking there's no time for zoning out.

Perhaps you need to beef up your work station and get more things in front of you or something... not sure what's up but you don't need drugs man... that's just another problem to overcome.

^^^^This. Just force yourself to do it, man. Never think that you 'can't' do it alone. That's setting you up for some type of substance dependency.

Agreed. she is top notch.

As far as the ADD is concerned. I try to stay off of Adderoll (yeah crazy I know) because it effects my heart rate which hurts my rock climbing.

I have found that keeping my coffee intake to 2 cups or less helps a LOT. Also having the right music is my main "focus" tool. I use either heavy metal or dub step to keep a constant beat going. This lets me focus on my work.

AS far as keeping my self motivated, I make sure and keep my todo list to small items. I then tackle items I know I can take down in my current focus state.

Also I have found at specific times of day I can focus better. For instance from 6-9pm my kick ass at mundane items.

As far as your ADD... I would recommend trying stratera (spelling). It is an ADD drug based on anti anxiety meds. It helps me focus a lot better than adderoll ever did.

Also... if you are in a compassionate use state (medical marijuana) then I recommend giving an evening smoke a shot.

Simply by smoking a sativa before bed, the next day I find I am more calm and focused. If I smoke to much I won't wake up earlier enough, but a little before bed helps my add the next morning.

Also I recommend picking up the book "the gift of adult ADD" [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Gift-Adult-ADD-Transform-Challenges/dp/1572245654"]The gift of adult ADD[/ame] This book really helped me both understand my Adult ADD as well as how to work with it. I had a hard time accepting that I could have it (my dad and bro both have it really badly, and didn't want to be like them). that said the book, bit of weed, stratera (sp) and all around good health have helped a lot.

Ill tell you what though... your already in the right direction by being self employed.
