So, this plugin effectively replaces adverts alongside copyrighted content that he doesn't own. He is not the first and will not be the last person to "invent" this lame, money-grabbing idea. Google have known about similar setups for a long time and I doubt he will get the cash out on any sort of long term scale. Probably only seeing two weeks because after that he got banned.
