Dreamhost fucking SUCKS

I still think for what I pay (something like 90 bucks per year) to get unlimited sites hosted with Dreamhost is a damn good deal. Their incentive to stick around is very enticing, they upgrade your storage AND bandwidth for free every week. Quite a bit as well. So I see no reason to switch.. unless I find a host that's around the same pricerange with better uptime..

I actually pay nothing to host with dreamhost. I make money, in fact, because I have referred so many people to them. But this is getting to be too much. I'm really glad if you're servers haven't been affected.

Now even dreamhost's blog is down because the server it was on is one of the ones affected. Unfortunately, nothing is going to be resolved until Monday when they take the entire network down for maintenance.

Anyway, this whole thread has not been to knock dreamhost, just to give all the wickedfire people a heads up. I was as big a dreamhost supporter as exists and I did a LOT of affiliate signups, but now I would definitely not recommend them for anyone who needs their sites to be up on a consistent basis.

Hopefully. I really don't want the hassle of changing hosts with these small sites.

I've got two people I referred with sites that are down now.

One of my reseller accounts are at BGFweb.com and they have been solid for over a year

Now for the last 2 days theres been downtime and they cant seem to fix it

They use the same excuse over n over... Im starting to loose my cool

having 50+ clients shouting at me cuz their sites and email are down fucking sux...

do NOT use bgfweb.com..

dreamhost seems to have finally fixed most of their problems. But I am watching it carefully.

Sorry to hear about your experience with BGFWeb. I know how much it sucks to be down.
