Don't post 48 minute YouTube videos.
Just remember, cops get out of bed every day and goto work with the sole intention of arresting "bad guys". More arrests = better record = more pay = better life in their eyes.
They're not there to be your friends (unless you're helping them catch a "bad guy").
all officers should have as part of their uniform, a video camera that live streams to a public website. If the situation is to dangerous for a live stream, go ahead and put it on a 24 hour delay. This video stream must not be controlled by the department. Implement these 2 basic changes and you will eliminate 99% of the problems people have with the police.
100% this.
Not only to protect the public from police brutality, but to protect the cops from bullshit charges of harassment. There is no good reason not to have cops videotaped all the time. They are a special class of citizens with special rules that allow them to kill, assault, rob etc., so they should be subject to complete and total surveillance.
The problem is they think everyone they come into contact with is a bad guy. Have you ever talked to a cop? Just ask them if they think people are honest.
The police warn you of this and then will proceed to informally chat to you with the aim of getting a confession or admission out of you (which doesn't have to be recorded AFAIK).
You want better cops? Eliminate the high risk "no knock" warrants. There are much much better ways to handle these non violent drug offenders.
