Ok, so I enjoy setting my computer up to do shit and waking up in the morning to finding something new done/waiting for me.

So... what does your computer do overnight?

Does it download your next batch of goat on midget porn, scrape content, spam, create accounts, upload/download shit?

Lets hear it.
 


i mainly use dedicated linux servers for spam (not email, chill with that) scraping and other shit.

only thing my computer and laptop do is have a many SecurCRT's open with a tail -f on my sites cause im a log junkie and love looking at the keywords ppl us to come to my site and shit

I have 2 computers that run traffic programs for points that I then turn into shit traffic which gets me 1 or 2 sales every 10.000 hits which in the end works out at about $10 a day, perhaps a bit more if averaged throughout a year.
But it costs me nothing so it's ok.
I also sometimes get ideas and inspiration from looking at the sites that flash by on the autosurfs.
 
Im digitizing my DVD's. I rip a bunch with MacTheRipper to the drive and crunch em with Handbrake while sleeping.

Oh, HalfPC, do you have a link to those traffic programs? Would love to check it out.
 
Downloading TONS of stuff 24/7 :)

In fact, I'm open to ideas on how to monetize some of my massive video collection. (And no, it's not all copyrighted or porn) :D
I have a few ideas for some niche video clip sites in the works.

2.5 terrabytes and counting...

sure, the only thing that's imperative to know is that google don't like that kind of automatic traffic.
The system is fairly worthless if used in the "traditional" way. I'ts just some PC giving you automatic page views.
These two are top dog from the point of view that their script is mega stable so you WILL get tons of credit and when you assign it you WILL then get tons of impressions, but that's about it. Traffic is often not in english.

there are more, for my purpose they are all a massive waste of time, however their traffic is often in english and some of them even get a google PR because their traffic might come from trained monkeys (someone actually sits there clicking away every ten secs!!)

Once you join one and start the autosurf then tyou'll see them all as hey are all interbred with one other.
 
Cool, I'm with barman, I have my trillian answering machine open. Other than that, downloading and automated tasks.
 
DB backups, virus/spyware scans, AIM normally left on, and some cron jobs FTW!
