they are going to make a killing on a theme park alone. They still have so much land and they do so well building these parks. I was actually surprised Universal made the Harry Potter park because of all the details, maybe universal would have done better buying it.

This reboot needs Christopher Nolan or JJ Abrams imo.

I hope Nolan brings his Batman game and not his speculative Inception game though.

I'd rather like Disney to try a director with a proven track record of fantasy like Guillerme Del Torro.

Well, if you put JJ Abrams behind the helm it will

1.) Make no fucking sense.

2.) Be 2 hours of lens flares.

JJ Abrams. I know he only produced Cloverfield, but I loved that. Lost was one of the best boxsets I've worked through and the Star Trek reboot was much better than I expected. He is my fave US director now, as David Fincher seems to have lost it these days.

Christopher Nolan. The Batman trilogy, Inception, Memento and The Prestige are some of the best modern day movies imo. He would be my top pick to direct all three. Couldn't imagine Hans Zimmer doing the Star Wars music though lol.

Both of these guys keep getting mentioned. Danny Boyle might be good as well.

Nolan fucked up with Inception. It was a good action/heist flick but the whole dream thing was so badly executed and if anyone says 'Inception was so deep' then they're simply stupid. The Prestige and Batman were very good close to great. But his lack of inspiration in Incepton and his preference for 'gritty and dark' films could prove him not to be the right match.

I wanted to add Danny Boyle in my previous post. I agree he is maybe the greatest director of his generation. He has successfully done romantic comedy (A life less ordinary), social realism (Trainspotting), zombies (28 days later), realistic sci-fi (Sunshine) and a modern epic (Slumdog Millionaire), only The Beach sucked. He may also be able to succeed in the sci-fi fantasy genre.

Guillerme Del Toro though has a track record of the supernatural in Hellboy and the incredible Pan's Labyrint plus others.

Guillerme Del Toro was also hyped to do the Hobbit, before Peter Jackson.

I say Danny Boyle or Del Toro.
