Digg Doesn't Pass Value?

I've seen a lot of people say that a link from Digg doesn't pass value. Why would this be the case ans is there any evidence to support this?

I have taken a site from new to a PR3 with mostly d1gg stories. I think it passes tons of value.

That is my opinion also. Digg is DoFollow anyway and I see no reason they wouldn't pass value....

I meant to say for me the value of the traffic is priceless for many of my sites. Just got my bi-weekly SEO ranking report this morning and Digg makes a huge difference for me.

Depending on your keyword targets, Digg's results might show up higher on the SERPS and send traffic to your site that way.

Very true. Keywords in Digg titles often show up on the first or second page of SERP results (esp G).
