Dexter Season 7 - Who's Pumped!?

I like it this way he doesn't have to cheaply lie to her every episode and she goes along with it until she pieces it together for the whole season. Now we can see how she'll react more quickly to knowing.
Plus, it's almost retarded she hasn't known 7 seasons into the show.
Good shit. Glad they didn't beat around the bush for more than 1 episode.
Spoiler for those who haven't seen it yet: The real question for me is why did LaGuerta take that slide at the end. I wonder if she thinks it might be someone inside that's a serial killer and wants to cover it up cause it will make the dept look retarded.

Never know with that whore lol. Seems like every season they're always discovering one thing that could somehow lead back to Dexter, and building upon that.
yes she probably thinks it somebody from the inside because Doakes was the one that was telling her that he was framed as the Bay Harbor Butcher (as far as I recall, I don't remember exactly since it's been a while since I saw that season) and I think he was trying to tell her it was somebody else but, couldn't say who. So, she took it after Masuka told her that the only person that brought blood slides to the crime scene was the Bay Harbor Butcher because Doakes stole Dexters slides which they ended up finding in his trunk and blamed it on Doakes and said they were his slides. So, if she leaves it there, it's possible whoevers on the inside will destroy it. She's probably going to start looking into it herself quietly. She never believed it was Doakes and it was hard for her, so I'm sure she's going to try to figure out what's going in, if that blood slide was supposed to be Doake's then how did it all of a sudden appear after Doakes is gone.
So, even though Deb knows and doesn't say anything it leaves it up to Laguardia to also figure it out.
It was the best episode yet. Really dramatic stuff. Considering the show slid a bit last season, the premiere really inspired some hope for a compelling season. I'm glad they chose to not drag out the whole Deb discovering the whole truth thing.
Logically thinking, I don't know what she'd get off the slide that would get back at Dexter. He wears gloves when he takes the blood for his slide and I assume he'd wipe the slide clean before using it.
Realistically though, they wouldn't have focused on the slide going into the drain and LaGuerta picking it up unless it's going to come back to haunt Dexter later in the season.
I think she is protecting her division - last year she was "alla bout the numbers" and wanted closed cases, etc.
i think she's just being a ballbuster and wants to make sure this shit stays closed and doesn't pop up in her face again, which i can understand
or if you are a creative fantasy type - she thinks someone from the department is a psychopath?

I think LaGuerta might be covering her ass. She was the Lieutenant when Doakes was found out to be the Bay Harbor Butcher. But now, to make things worse, it seems like maybe she was wrong about him being the killer. It could be very bad for her career politically if it's found out she railroaded a dead man and that the real killer was still out there the entire time. She's also seems to still have her eye on Debra's spot which would possibly be spoiled if the news came out.
I see 2 possible things with the LaGuerta thing:
1) In season 2, she DID NOT believe Doakes was the Bay Harbor Butcher. She was seemingly the only person in the cast who actually knew him, judging by what I think was a relationship they had had in the past. But again she did not think he was the Bay Harbor Butcher, and the slide helped her confirm that her gut was right back then.
