I am planning on getting some autoblogs and database sites going - I understand that its important especially with the autoblogs for them to be on different Class C IP's.

I understand that I can buy them from seohosting for example - am I right in saying that this is effectively shared hosting just with more IP's on different Class C's?

If I was to eventually get a VPS or Dedicated server where do you buy the additional IP's from? And how do you ensure they are on different Class C's?

I see at Softlayer for example with a dedicated server you can get up to 32 IP Addresses - are these all on different Class C's?

We have worked with SEOHosting before and depending on the plan you get (ex. 5), then you can select the 5 IPs you want. In the case of a VPS, they will typically give you an ordered stack (ex. xx.xx.xx.130 to how ever many you purchased.) It is worth asking support however, as other hosts may do this differently than ours.

It depends on the host/datacenter. Giving you different C class IPs is seohosting's niche and therefor you pay a premium for the IPs (if I'm looking at the right site).

Then there's hosts like ZenSix and we just can't offer different C class IPs, because our datacenter doesn't offer them to us. We have to buy them in blocks of 256 and they are all in order. However, you only pay $1 for an IP...
