You will make millions by the end of this day.

 Thanks for coming clyde. I hope I win but either way, this thread is bound to be amusing for you guys. Hell, I'll even post boobs in a while.

I've tried building bigger sites but that took longer and gave a much lower ROI. (bought aged PR domain, build pages, unique content, build links to inner-pages etc) but thanks for the advice.

I'm starting to find that this is true

SERPS:

Pandabait: 68 on G [+168]
MFA 2.0: Still in the shitter

Tracking:

I swapped tracking to SERPFOX because SEscout was fucking up. I noticed some discrepancies and searched WF. Apparently, it's broken. I decided to do more split testing by making 2 accounts for my case study. The 2 accounts ended having different results in SERPS.

VERDICT:SESCOUT IS BROKEN.

I tried authority labs as well but SERPFOX just works. I might try BOFU's tracker when I get some money.

I haven't been posting recently because I've moved my rantings to my own personal blog. WF seems to only like results so I wont post here until I have results or something cool to post.

Learning Stack:

I watched Guerilla's PANDA webinar and it was awesome! I would definitely recommend my fellow noobs to watch it.

REIMktg vs Hale.Pane aka King Neckbeard

Saw REIMktg's post

I am setting my calender for 1 year from today to scoop up all of the EMD's that were bought as a result of this and never developed by the 80% that will never follow through.

Decided to it was time to officially put up or shut up and replied with

Come at me bro! I got 2 jobs and moved to a cheap shitty apartment to fund my future adsense farm.

My pandabait is already +168 [rank 68 at G].

You can have my domain if I can't rank it at 1 by Feb 28 2012.

TLDR; In hindsight, this was probably a bad decision but I already burned the boats.

Dear Hale.Pane's diary:

Let me start this with the disclaimer that I'm not trying to piss in your Cheerios with this post. Just trying to help.

You have an EMD and you're going to attempt to rank it for that and related keywords.

Ok, I feel you so far.

What's the monetization strategy? Are there multiple methods of monetization that you can use simultaneously and/or if one monetization method either doesn't prove profitable and/or disappears for whatever reason?

Are you able to scale up and out in this market if it's profitable? For example, if it's weight-loss related, the sky is the limit. There are always more products to sell, more expensive products to sell, and a metric fuckton of ways to cross-sell (fitness shit, diet shit, even used-to-be-fat-ass fashion shit if you're good).

But if you're busting your hump to rank a site around keywords like "Teach parakeets to whistle Dixie" then your long-term options are more limited.

Sure, you've cornered the market on teaching parakeets to whistle Dixie but you just busted your ass building this thing out and you're kind of stuck. You can't grow this thing that you worked so hard on.

Not that this is a deal-breaker if it's worth it to you, but I always like to start projects that are open-ended for the long term as well as monetizable in the short term. Makes more sense to me that way.

Otherwise, it's like putting a Ferrari on a dead end road (to borrow a phrase).

Hope this helps give you some perspective.

Dear Diary,

I ate some really weird tacos today, they gave me gas. Do not eat at Freds Tacos again!

Do not eat curry and turkey. They do not mix.

Adsense for now but I there a many other options.

Yes. I can scale it to infinity if I can rank it.

Cool quote. Thanks for the advice.

I'm learning so much I feel that there isn't hours enough to learn. Another issue I'm having is having to sift through the information. It seems like theres a lot of shit advice along with awesome nuggets of info here on wf.

P.S. Fuck providers that run with my cash. I'm already broke motherfuckers!

Don't get caught up in information addiction from any other source except your own experience. Get info from the forums and what not. But limit how much time you spend doing it, because it's often a subconscious procrastination method based on fear. It's easy to feel like you are making progress when you find a golden nugget of info, but the only true progress is action-centered progress. Info-progress is virtual progress. Knowledge without action is nothing.

+rep, this is true. I research, act, document, analyze, and then research again. If I read too much, my mind gets cluttered with all of the INFINITE POSSIBILITIES, and I don't get anything done. I'm a newbie too, and I'm following this case study.

BOO YA! This quote is like something from Braveheart. Or Fight Club. Or 300... But based on SEO. It resonates big time.

I agree as well but I think I'm limited by funds. I can't just throw a bunch of shit on my site because I don't know what I'm doing. I have to throw things one at a time then see if it changes anything. If I want to try more shit out I'm going to have to build more sites. Catch 22 FTL. *

@Hale.Pane...I feel you. I am always stopping myself from working by thinking about things too much. Just know Im in the same boat except I have been getting a little cash flow from Adsense through Hubpages. I've tried to start at least 5 different niche sites only to get overwhelmed or discouraged and have finally just decided to work on one and stick with.

Ultimately the most important thing is content. Content content content. Nothing else matters. I would personally get at least 30-40 pages or unique and relevant content going (if you haven't done so), targeting related keywords, and ten work on SEO. SEO and Adsense are COMPLETELY irrelevant if you do not have traffic and/or your bounce rate is high.

Sorry if I am misunderstanding, but having been and often times still feeling that I am stuck is only a cop out to doing actual work. Like Hobster said, action. Fuck everything else. And like I'm saying....you need to make sure you have content. That's really all that matters I terms of impressions and conversions. If you build a solid site and work it, your profits should follow.

1. Build a site
If you don't have a site, you have nothing to put content on.

2. Get content
If you don't have content, you have nothing to be indexed, backlinked, or ranked.

3. Get backlinks
If you don't have backlinks, you don't have rank.

4. Get ranked page 1 and spot 1
If you don't have rank, you don't have organic traffic. Organic traffic converts because it is targeted.

5. Tweak Ad layouts for better conversion

6. Profit!

Consistent massive effort will earn you money. At the beginning it's foolish to worry about "how much money" because any is more than none. Just take action. As long as you don't do obvious things that will get you banned or deindexed you'll be fine. You can always tweak your methods along the way and go back to those early sites. Just keep moving and refining your system!
