Alright, I need to know, when he made these videos, did he think that he was doing something extra cool? Because as much as I laugh at these, I also wonder who the hell thought of these?!

I'm surprised at how good he sounds. I always dismissed him as a wannabe singer, but this is actually ok. If only somebody smart had managed his image...
 
heh. i actually saw a clip of that first video last night on the late show with jay leno, hasselhoff was a guest. he said it was a video from the early 90's when he was dirt broke, and his last album bombed in europe, and they figured that whole "huga chuaka, huga chuaka" would turn on all the big germans. obviously it didn't work, and he's still a clown. :1orglaugh:

I gotta say, he's got ballz to hit the music scene again with that level of blatant cheese. That kinda shit will get you beaten down in the street. You do have to realize all that puffy lameness is all a front...

Incendently a high school chum of mine sang Hasselhoff. We did this tribute gig a few times and it was a riot (myself on guitar). He looked so damn funny in those $2 sunglasses, leather pants...sportn that perm wig. The best tune was 'Our First Night Together' from the album Night Rider - we did it with the intro from 'Eye of the Tiger' for some reason and it worked. I'm serious about this BTW, its true. That was bar none the strangest musical project I've ever been a part of.

From what I remember though - David Hasslehoff is a pop legend in Germany and has been for a while. It has even been rumoured that he had something to do with ending the Cold War.

Love that fur coat in the Hooked on a feeling video - at least you can't see his face :)

Knightrider was the only thing he did worth a flip. Well baywaych but he sucked.
