Dat Frankenstorm

Im sure all the wickedfire meteorologists will be able to answer that question for you.

I'm expecting nothing less. Like Kevin O'Leary, Wickedfire members are experts at everything.

I'm just suggesting that the media is purposely going overboard with this and the fear mongering is disgusting.

I have a hard time believing that this is the worst storm in the history of the human race. Calling it such and scaring people who are already scared, simply to spike your ratings, is just

All I can say is Don Lemon at CNN is the worst fucking anchor I've had to watch. Fucking guy makes me want to puke.
But my options are limited since I'm streaming news from the net.. and I'm not about to go to MSNBC or Fox.

Two weeks before an election, the last thing an entirely liberal-biased media wants to do is blow a storm out of proportion. Most of the states that the hurricane is going to affect the most are already sure wins for Obama, but think about all the votes he is going to lose due to public transportation being shut down. All them welfare recipients aren't going to be able to make it to the polling stations.

Also, this is an entirely different scenario than a typical hurricane hitting southern states. We're talking about a massive amount of rainfall that is going to completely swamp the city, combined with the coastal surge. Northern states aren't nearly as prepared as southern states are for hurricanes, structurally or mentally.

lol i just went about my usual routine of Sunday grocery shopping....except it took 2x longer cuz it was mayhem everywhere haha. gas stations...food shopping...everything!

Just looks like a pretty standard, high-power hurricane to me.

It's not just the hurricane - there is essentially a big "winter" storm from the west and north being thrown into the mix, plus a full moon which means higher tides.

The majority don't usually make it to the polls as is.

The expected surge to the east coast is 4 to 7 feet depending on where you're at. NYC *Should* be in better shape than parts of NJ or Long Island for that matter.

The wind will be damaging but not completely devastating. Roofs in NY,PA,NJ are rated for about 75 to 90 mph, the max speed this storm will be will be 90mph, so it will be easy to tell who had a good roofer and who did not (Good ones will install things to withstand 100-110, bad ones will fly of during 80mph).

PA is the big candidate for potential voter swings. Philly is extremely liberal, and will be absolutely flooded. The western part of the state is voting heavily Republican this time due to coal issues.
