I don't think I've ever heard of that happening with our 000 service here...
Although I know a lot of people in Australia do get severely hurt when they keep dialing 911, start screaming incoherently into the phone, and wonder why they get no response. Seriously, there was a 60 minutes article on it a few months ago Fucking morons
