I've been in talks with a local business and we are going to start generating them leads through our online advertising.

I'm looking for a very simple system where I can have our LP with the form that then dumps the info into a database where they can login in and view the info as well as leave notes about each lead. The volume is not going to be high to start - like 10 leads a day max to begin with.

So does any one have any suggestions on free or near free software to do this with? Preferably self hosted. Something could be programmed real cheap but I bet there is something out there already that could do this no problem.

I love tine20.org - free, downloadable, very practical and not bloated.

sounds like something someone could code up in an afternoon for a few hundo. But because the leads you're expecting are so low, that's probably not worth it in the end.

If you think you can scale this out over and over, get it custom built for your needs. No CRM will be the right fit for your workflow; you'll have to change your workflow to match the CRM you choose.

Yeah that's pretty much what I've been thinking. Something completely custom will need to be built once we figure everything out and start scaling as this will start small but the revenue potential is there both locally and nationally if this works out well. I just don't have a clue exactly what will be best until we start.

To start though I'll check out the suggestions you guys made, thanks everyone.

Looking at leadmash, they actually use the MachForm script for their contact us page form!

Their contact form is:
Code:
http://www.leadmesh.com/lead-management-software-demo.html
The embedded form is:
Code:
http://adcrane.com/machform/embed.php?id=7
The part that that is interesting to me is that InstantFormPro is actually a licensed, improved, and cheaper version of MachForm....

I only wonder why LeadMesh does not use their "own" system for their contact / lead form?
