Is there a way to programatically get numbers that CL doesn't detect as potentially fraudulent?
They seem to deny all numbers from Twilio/Plivo/etc. These numbers mostly come up as VOIP numbers through various fraud services, which I assume is be what CL is using (Maxmind, et al). Cellphone numbers that work appear as landline on these services usually.
Unfortunately, I can't find a way to programatically get numbers detected as landline. I'm considering leveraging Mturk (all US workers now, I believe) to use workers' cells to activate accounts and then we can use those... this is another layer of nonsense that's inevitably going to cause headaches though.
CLAD Genius seems to be a popular poster but I'm unable to see how they deal with phone numbers. It's really old and kind of a big piece of shit. Can't find alternatives to get inspiration from.
Thanks, ya'll.
(on the off-chance anyone is interested in helping and using such a tool, throw me a PM. we're building it in ruby/python.)
