Hi,

I'm a newbie, so if this question has been asked before, perhaps someone can direct me to the conversation, but here goes:

I'm curious to get a general consensus on what types of payment models have been the most profitable for WFers, both in the short term and long term: CPL, CPA or Rev. Share. Obviously the product is probably more important (ie does the action covert well) but I'm sure everyone has their preferences for payment models.

Are lead based programs more profitable? That would seem to be the case, but of course you have to find the right one, and keep your traffic stream clean.

CPA versus rev share? Why would you opt for one or the other.

Thanks in advance!

I would think it would be CPL. The reasons for this is because you don't have to really sell anything normally before you get a lead making it easier to convert. CPA covers CPL really.

It depends on your sponsor...

For example...

If you look at the landing page of your sponsor and it's full of content or action, ask yourself this:"Would I go for another month with these guys?" If the answer is no, then i highly doubt revshare would be nulled from your options. If yes, the opposite, go for revshare. It all depends on how good your sponsor is in whatever market you are reaching out to....so basically....pay close attention to their content, landing pages, designs etc....
