I can't edit my O.P. but I wanted to add in a couple of quick other points that may be of interest. We are mailer, and celebrity friendly. However, for mailers that does not mean SPAM.

We also have 14 different IP C-Blocks available for those looking at doing some SEO blogs or cross linking between their websites.

If you need QuadCore's, higher bandwidth, or other custom quotes. Feel free to hit me up as well.

What the heck does "celebrity friendly" mean?

There are some people based in the U.S. that are paranoid about running any type of celebrity site.

I only mention this as it has come up in conversation when people are asking about "allowed websites".

What a load of crap.

I've setup a cloud server with Rackspace Cloud (which is a big player in the industry) for 20€/month for a server that has 512 of RAM, which is more than enough for server with only a few websites and 10k visits/day. The server is instantiated (created) in 5 minutes, and i can scale (meaning that you OS and configuration stays the same) it up to 16GB RAM with a few clicks and about 15 minutes - if some day the need arises.

No contract needed and I get support in matter of minutes when i need them.

It's cloud computing era, man. Dedicated servers are so yesterday.

Cloud hosting is pretty slick but for large scale sites that need the power dedicated servers are much better value for money.

Exactly.

Cloud, VPS, dedicated all have their advantages and disadvantages. In the end it comes down to the customer, the type of site, their needs, and their preference.

I have several colleagues that have used this to develop sites on. Only one is still using them. The others left because of several disadvantages, one being the price, that comes with running standard sites on the setup.

Cloud computing is great for ease of instantiating many servers or up-scaling if you were doing a lot of testing or had a sudden burst in traffic that would be temporary and needed to scale. I like the idea of the cloud for shared information though. Google is known well for their cloud setup. It'd also be great for running game servers on.

However, it isn't good for constants like virtual desktops, sites which are going to be stable and not changing too much, etc. That's where VPSs and Dedicateds come into play.

Keep drinking that marketing BS koolaid, if it makes you feel better.

Talking from personal experience, I own and administer several webservers - dedicated and cloud - and I must say benefits of cloud servers (scalability, scheduled backups, low cost at startup,...) outweigh dedicated.

Yes the benefits do but you have to compare the benefits to the price. Like I said dedi servers are much better value for money for big operations.

vicevalley is hosted by ::: MojoHost ::: Superior Solutions With 24-7 Personal Support. (with the server itself being geolocated in Arizona and site hasn't been updated since 2004)

Not too much on google about them, and the price for a managed dedi is of course least 100 over whats offered here. Did find the owner on webhostingtalks whose signature linked to Easy Online Solutions - Corporate Home Page (which looks just as poor in design as vicevalley), and also mentioned that twindreams did mojohost's design but course thats a typical spam page here twindreams.com , the owner's mailing address isn't far from me, but the data center is claimed to be in Maimi, yet vicevalley which resolves to mojohost in a geo-lookup (no RDNS) is located in Arizona. And course the so-claimed owner of Mojo hasn't said anything on WHT since 2004. Hasn't really been anything on google for the last year except some generic hosting review sites.

So I guess just take that with a grain of salt.

also once upon a time vicevalley.com shared IPs with 126 other sites. http://sitedossier.com/ip/216.17.107.72
(its now http://sitedossier.com/ip/74.206.182.176 I'm presuming once upon a time shared everyone on the same reseller or dedi on a single whm/cpanel type of setup)

Typically I would not waste my time with thread crashers, or online creepers, especially considering THIS as your motives are clear. However, a few quick points of interest.

So I guess just take that with a grain of salt.

As people should, since most of your ASSumptions would be incorrect.

I think if a WF mod trusts me with their boxes, I obviously can handle my business just fine and deliver on what I promote.

Carry on.

:P last I checked the thread-crasher rule only applied to buy and sell, you posted outside of such. I have a thread here in hosting section too, feel free. And searching for my thread must have explained the time delay between your reply and your negative rep... guess you couldn't come up with anything better.

By the way which Mod would that be?

People who are actually interested in doing business would get that information. They would then be able to contact them directly themselves on WF via PM for confirmation if they wanted.

I do not name clients to win message board battles with strangers. Sorry.
