Bookworm-

You need to edit all of your articles or you will lose credit for them.

They are completely copied off of your blog, links and all. Especially that shit at the bottom "sign up to my newsletter". This forum is not supposed to be your personal advertising venue. Look at everyone else's articles. Almost no links to their blogs. One link in your sig is fine. Check out Dave's, CollegeDownTime's, etc. submissions. THOSE are good submissions. Everyone knows that if they want to get in touch with the guy who wrote the article, then all they have to do is PM them, or go to a link to a blog in the sig.

Also, putting "read part 2" and then linking to your blog really pisses me off. You have to make up your mind here.. Either post all of your articles here, without these spammy linkbacks, or don't submit anymore articles.

You have a week to change it or else your article submissions are going to be pending.

Just a note.. Emp is running the scoreboard here.. if he has any questions, he asks me and I have the final word. He is not judging the contest, just keeping tabs on it for me. He's not getting any special treatment either, he was just the first, and only person to volunteer to keep track of everything since I wasn't doing such a good job.

OK Jon. As I said, I won't be online a lot during the next days (I'll use the nights instead...:p) so I will need to be updated on this issue either on PM or in thsi thread as to what the final verdict is.

As I said, I'll try and keep this running.

Alright, I'll get them edited. No one said they had to be original though - that was the appeal of the contest for me. Promote articles and participate in the community. I'll drop the links.

Final post count by me

OK, this is my final count. As of this message, I give this back to Jon.

This is especially important since there still seem to be some issues around bookworm-SEO's articles.

I really do not know how to handle that situation, but it is neither my place, nor my duty to be the referee here.

I'll write some articles even after the contest, just for the hell of them and I hope some others will continue as well.

So, in hope of a quick and clean decision regarding the outcome of the contest, my last list (basically the same as the one before)

01. Bookworm-SEO
(7) ????????
02. Dave (6)
03. emp (4)
04.
Collegedowntime (3)
05.
Darkdrift (1)
----- Runner ups -----
06.
V12Kid (1)
07.
John (1)
08.
...
09. ...
10. ...

PS: This message has also been PMed to Jon.

By the way, if people want to complain about the first published source of my content, I think I'm just getting nailed for being open about it.
Consider this Google Search.
Sounds a bit familiar... Which I happen to think is fine. I can understand article marketing.

Ah hell.. this contest is going to get out of hand quickly because in all honesty, I don't have the time to run it on my own..

Whooopsie...

Oh SH...

I thought the contest was over beginning of August. :hollering: Oh FSCK!
I'll keep counting, then, of course.

Still need you as referee, Jon.

And Bookworm, the contest rules definitely state that ANYONE can contest an entry as "unoriginal". So I guess someone is going to loose some points due to your insane Google skills. :zzwhip:

So I really do not know what to make of this. Dave's article has been around, it seems. Still, it is HIS article, he is identified as the author. Probably was written BEFORE the contest, which would make it inappropriate.
It IS one of a set of 5 or so articles that he submitted BEFORE the contest, though and which have been approved by Jon at LESS than one point per.

JOOOON! DAAAAAVE! COME 'ERE!

As far as I understood, the point of the contest was to build up the WF forums with some good posts. To post educational stuff that will help other members. Legally.

As far as I can tell, the articles posted to date have been useful and instructional.

Oh, and John, if the contest means so much to you, go write some good content rather than complaining.

I couldn't care less about winning the contest, ever hear of a little thing called humour?
