coffee addict? I try not to think of it as an addiction, but more of a hobby.

rationalizing an addiction is perfectly normal.
 
Wow, you guys are nuts.. I didn't mean for you to get 500 posts in under a week! No more posting stupid shit either.. You have to have at least 50 threads of your own with some meaning to it. Meaning is something useful for the community. Can't think of something right away? Well, take a break and do some work! I'm sure it will come to you later on or on another day.

By the way, I will continue to always have contests going, because they seem like a lot of fun for everyone to compete in. I don't think I'll ever give cash prizes, because everyone does that, but I have a lot of goodies up my sleeve to give away for freeeee..

I want this forum to be the most active one around, and definitely the most entertaining and fun to participate in.

Its pretty tough to make a contest like that where everyone is going to be posting only for the reason to win and not end up with loads of useless posts and threads created only for the post count.

Well, just like they have the time to sit around and post 500 posts in a short period of time, I have people working for me who can sit there and count the valid threads they've started. The goal of the contest was so that people could have an incentive to post useful things. I don't care if half of their threads are in the Shoot the Shit forum, I just want to see that they've made an effort in contributing USEFUL content to the forum itself, you know, content for everyone else who is not on the clock to get to 500.

It doesn't matter anyhow, there are 10 slots to fill, and there will always be contests running, so never a dull day I guess. You don't win in this one, I'm sure you'll win in another one.
 
for the next contest may I suggest a trip to New York complete with a few night's lodging at the Mandrian Hotel (or whatever its called).

Nah... water... and whatever music I feel like.

I drink coffee maybe once a week... and thats just because the hosptial I work in just opened a Starbucks... So hard to resist!

I'm actually glad there will be more... I also hope everything I've been posting has been pretty useful. I feel that is it.

This one is actually pretty stressful... haha. Not really. With where I am now... unless some crazy people came around... I'm almost sure to make the top 10.

maybe in a couple of weeks i'll have it.

Some of us dont have 1000's of websites to attend to... or if you're like me you get stuck with the shitty weekend workshifts where nothing happens... leaving me to websites like this alllllll day long.
