Since Christmas/Hanukkah/Festivus have come and gone, many of us are left with gift certificates and extra cash burning holes in our collective pockets.

I have been looking to add some new looks to my wardrobe, but like most straight dudes, sometimes I have a hard time picking out stuff that would look good.

So, for some reason I have decided that it would be a good idea to ask a bunch of internet marketers for fashion ideas.

Post your favorite shirt/jacket/pair of shoes. Something that you love to wear out. For the few ladies out there, feel free to share some of your favorite mens clothing etc.

I'm sure theres another thread like this somewhere. Sell all your giftcards, and shop at two places. 1. Buckle 2. Express for Men. /Thread

Don't goto Kohls/Walmart/JCpenny/Etc.. for anything but socks. Shoes are tough, get some gray chucks or some nice AF1, depending on your style. Nice PeaCoat for winter, and your set. GL.
 
Here's what you need to do: hand over all your gift certificates and cards and shit to a trust worthy close female friend and tell them what you're going for and let them do the shopping for you. You'll save time and wind up with shit you look good in.
 
best advice: it's all about fit. it can be a 50 dollar target suit, but if it fits great, it will look better than a 1000 dollar suit that hasn't been properly tailored. i take conservative patterns and styles, and make sure they fit right.

find a tailor. every man needs a tailor. he can make an old pendleton hand-me-down from your 'pa into a SoHo envy. it took me a few years before i found my tailor, but it was well worth it.
 
Completely debt free (including mortgage) is my goal.

Cars, Clothes, Hoes.... all that shit has payments!
 
yep, make it fit.

don't close all buttons on a button up shirt, dont stuff the lower part of shirts (in a casual enviroment) into your pants. get shoes that match, get a scarf that looks well with your winter jacket, black shirts matches up greatly with darker jeans while lighter coloured shirts look better on light coloured jeans... so much SIMPLE shit that will make you look 10x better.

do your research and ask fashion minded people.. not internet marketers ;)
 
Just go to a BUCKLE store. You cant possibly make a wardrobe mistake there. But honestly I cant say jeans for $180 are more comparable then jc penny $30 jeans. Its a status thing.

I just know were to shop. No fashion expertise on my behalf.
 
Moments like these, I am so glad that I have a sister who is all about fashion. Shopping for good looking clothes simply requires me to walk into a store, hold my hands out, and wait for her to pile a ton of shirts / jeans on to my arms. Then I try them on and we weed out the few she doesn't like.

I just don't shop well for myself lol

Dress for your body type, not for brand. Some of my favorite articles of clothing were cheap as hell but they fit nice.

If you don't have a nice fitting blazer, get one.

Also, your room is a disaster. Empty bottle of Jergens on the floor, Kleenex all over the place stuck together with unknown fluids...you're 24. At least clean up after yourself so that your mother doesn't have to pick up your masturbation aftermath.
