Cigar Smokers, help me pick some

My favorite cigars:
Montecristo No. 2
Partagas Series D No. 4

Favorite after-dinner cigar if I need to pick up a cigar at a shop is a Punch Churchill with a light wrapper. I love Ashton VSG's, CAO Brasilia Gol as well.

If you want to fill up your humidor quickly, go to CigarBid.com.

Wait until you start pairing them with a good scotch, bourbon, triple bock, tawny port, brandy, etc. Nevermind the infused "hint", drink the real deal like a boss.

Just had another Ashton, Cabinet line.

Man, this is starting to become a habit. lol

That's funny because when I read the thread title the first cigar I was going to recommend was the Ashton's. I've never had a bad one. They're great quality and still a pretty decent price. I buy most of mine from CigarsInternational.com. When I quit chewing tobacco a year ago, I pretty much stopped smoking cigars too, but I'm starting to have one now and then. Forgot how much I liked the Ashton's.

I actually did a couple blog posts and some social media stuff for Macanudo a couple months ago. They sent me a nice box of Hyde Park Cafe's, which is a really nice smoking cigar. I've never really been into Macanudo's much, but these are excellent.

How about throwing out your top 3 in each ( scotch, bourbon, etc ) that you listed above?

I'd like to get into this as well. I'd like to know your top 3 as I dont drink much to really know what is good. I mostly do bourbon but only because its so plentiful here.

Hook me up.

Otima 10 Porto is a decent cheap port, Taylor Fladgate is a good go-to port too 10-40 years I believe so some good options.

You can't go wrong IMHO with Glenfiddich or Macallan start at the young ones and work your way up so you can truly appreciate them.

Meh to mass-market blends. Most of them are drinkable, but there's no complexity in the taste.

Johnnie Walker CAN be excellent - but don't get anything less expensive than Black.

Whisky is something to explore and enjoy, like cigars. Spend some time watching reviews, buy a bottle or two and take some notes. Personally I love hardcore peated malts like Ardbeg and Laphroiag, but they're certainly not to everyone's taste. When you get a really good one and enjoy it over an hour or two, the way the taste and smell changes as it's in the glass is amazing.

Ralfy's whisky site.

Don't know much about Bourbon, other than I had a bottle of Woodford Reserve a while back which was excellent.

Another fav of mine is the Markers Mark Torpedo ( I sent some out a few years ago to some affiliate friends on here )

I received one of these from Jason, and it was great. Just wanted to suggest the Maker's Mark as well.

Also, I've been enjoying Acid Blondies lately (I like the smaller size cause I'm a puss)

I know one of you faggots is going to get the urge to smoke a cigar, will pewep-lip it and make yourself nauseous because you treated the cigar like the dick you sucked last night.

Keep candy or a soda close by (the only time I will advocate ingesting sugar) to counteract the nicotine in case you get too much of it.

No point in ruining your first experience with a cigar. Take your time. A cigar is meant to be sipped and enjoyed.

I prefer Swedish 'Snus' for my tobacco addiction. It's like an oldschool nicotine gum.

Everyone has a palette, so to each his own on the discalimer. However, for scotch I like:

Macallans
Dalwhinnie
Alberlour
Oban

Bourbon:

Makers Mark
Woodford Resevre
Eagle Rare
Bulleit

These are by far the best, however certainly enjoyable. I like to sample "small batch" bourbons that are on sale, sometimes the ones named after a US statesman - there are a lot of those.

Look out for the Sam Adam's triple bock. It's available on occasison this time of year - nice with a Macanudo.

LOL, the whiskey was working better than my fingers. To finish...Not welled versed with brandies because I like whiskey so much. Love the Jameson. Canadian whiskey is good and especially, Crown Royal. Canadian Club makes a 12 year old that rivals Crown, but you have to look for it (its very good).

Sometimes a sweet after dinner drink goes well with a cigar. Although I'm not big on them, I do like one called Tuaca.

Agreed, and I don't drink enough to bother finding better alcohol than what I listed. Those were the brands at home growing up so it's what I got used to drinking and smoking cigars with my father.

You've inspired me to buy a bottle of the good stuff :)
