Alright, this isn't a post for Swisher Sweets and White Owl shit you can buy at the gas station, but actual cigars that you buy online or at a specialty shop.

Also, this isn't about weed blunts either.

I started getting into cigars some time ago as a noob and I have enjoyed them a lot. I bought a few today and sat on my front porch and smoked a niche Churchill from Ashton ( see below ):

Im also a fan of Cohiba and Rocky Patel.

So what are you guys smoking and whats your "goto"? What have you enjoyed? Where are you getting them ( if you getting them online ) and do any of you have memberships to those online cigar clubs where you get the monthly to your house?

I'm really into mostly light wrappers ( Connecticut Shade Wrappers ) and Churchills, although I have had some awesome darker ones that were Torpedos and other lenghts/widths.

Another fav of mine is the Markers Mark Torpedo ( I sent some out a few years ago to some affiliate friends on here ) and it has a nice draw, even burn, and taste.

Help me out by letting me know some good ones you have and what I shoudl try/get. I am still noob in this and would like some advice.

Thanks

I don't smoke cigars much anymore but I would usually hit the sampler packs. I liked the maduro wrappers as they seemed to have more flavor and produced a better smell. I prefer the medium bodies but i would try all 3. I tried a full bodied one when I got my first sampler and it was really strong. Could have been the brand who knows.

Make sure you're toasting the cigar before you light it up and ensure you have it evenly lit. There's a youtube video where a guy goes into the best way to light up.

Also, make sure you got a proper cutter. Shitty cutters can ruin you cigar as it can unravel or get an uneven burn and you will be relighting all the time and burning the tobacco giving it a shitty taste.

XIKAR XI2 GRANITE SILVER CUTTER - Thompson Cigar

I picked up one of these and they always produce clean, even cuts and it isn't a flimsy piece of junk like the cheapo plastic ones.

You mean you don't just bite the end off like Boss Hogg?

Some of the 5 Vegas are my "GO TO" for a daily smoke.

Their 5 Vegas Gold sounds like it would be right up your alley, I like the A, and Triple-A too. These are affordable daily smokes that won't break the bank, but don't expect much complexity either. A bit more $ 5 Vegas Relic is another I enjoy.

5 Vegas Gold Double Nickel Box-Press - 5-Pack (#1350762) - CigarBid.com

Oliva Serie 'V' is a very good cigar for the price.

Don Pepin Garcia Cuban Classic has some smaller sizes that are great for their size and price isn't too bad. These are great for an out and about smoke.

Oh, and be careful CigarBid.com is addicting.

Don't jump into bidding... watch it a couple days they have the same things over and over and you shouldn't over pay if you pay attention. A LOT of people are stupid and bid more than they go for on Cigar International site.

The site is AWESOME to get singles, and mix and match, and figure out what you like.

If you start getting a lot and want to do some trading send me a PM, I converted a fridge into a humidor :smokin: The freezer houses the Drew Estates "flavored" smokes that are mostly enjoyed by friends, and the bottom the normal cigars. I use beads for humidity in there, and gel-packs on my desktop units.

When you are in Vegas hit-up Casa Fuente for some an awesome selection of cigars... they have a LOT of really hard to get ones too. Be prepared to shell out $25-30/each for the Opus X and top quality Ashtons though.

I`ll be in Vegas all next week for PubCon if you are going to be there let me know and we can smoke a few :)

--- FYI ---

DO NOT smoke an infused Cigar at a cigar lounge you will get kicked out and piss everyone off and never be invited back. I`ll enjoy an infused cigar every now and then but it fucks up your ability to truly enjoy a good cigar.

So they'll sale you the cigar then kick you out if you smoke it?

Yeah, I dont smoke any.. except the Markers Mark one was one I had several of. It wasn't my first though, but since I live in the Bourbon Captial of the world its the only infused one I will smoke.

Gotta love that bourbon.

Punch Maduro, smooth as anything reasonable and at around $5 a cigar good for a regular smoke.

Some good information here man,

I am slowly getting into cigar's,

I do occasionally smoke DUNHILL's tho, the smoothest cig i have tasted.
