I've used istockphoto a bit with no complaints. can't comment on the rest.

I also like to look for artists/photog sites that offer their photos for free use. When I come across one I always start downloading right then before I forget about it. I found a great one on Deviant Art once.

sxc.hu is the best one imo, i always go there to make my designs seem for friendly.

I've used http://gettyimages.com/ in the past and they're also a good choice.

http://www.clipart.com is pretty affordable and you can get clip art in addition to images.

gettyimages isn;t free though, or even cheap.

My brother works there and I hear they can be very litigious if photos are used without licence

I agree, after a quick look at sxc.hu and not seeing anything I like I always find it @ istock.
