I need a charge card for a business that was just registered in June. I got denied instantly for the Chase Ink bold and I'm pretty sure Amex would do the same.

Before I go look through a bunch of bullshit review sites, can anyone recommend me a charge card that offers easy approvals for new businesses? Any in particular that were easier to get approved for and/or had better benefits?

Absolutely try AMEX. ESPECIALLY if you have a personal account with them.

AMEX will factor in your personal credit along with the business, you have a better chance of approval with a follow up phone call as well.

rack up those points.

Assuming I get denied for plum, starwood, etc. within the next 5-7 days...

Are there any others that anyone has had a good experience with?

amex gold business. I just got it for a brand new business that I had literally regged the week before. I have good personal credit and other business cards to stand on but still not bad.

Thanks for the tip but are you sure that's a charge card?

AMEX Gold/Platinum are both business charge cards.

AMEX does offer the ability to pay over time on qualifying purchases with certain charge cards.

The Starwood is a credit card, and the PLUM is about half and half.

Realistically, if you are paying the entire balance every month, it shouldn't matter whether its a charge or credit card - go for the card that best suits the rewards you are looking to get.

AMEX is really the best card you are going to get hands down for business. Have you looked at all of the perks the platinum has to offer?

Thanks for the recommendations.

Just sent you a PM.

The green one (basic business?) is really easy approval.

Not sure if thats a charge card or not.

Do you have a company bank account with a bank that issues credit cards? Fund the account, prepay the card, etc. until you get enough history with them to upgrade. You could try MBNA. They used to give cards out to broke and unemployed college kids.

I have a feeling my idea of what a charge card is is wrong or there is some sort of miscommunication going on here.

The reason I want a charge card ASAP is because I am maxing my cards out right now and then paying them off 4-7 days later.

I am looking for a charge card instead of a normal credit card because I was under the impression that when you do this with normal credit cards, that it hurts your credit score because you are just re-flipping money over and over.

That's what I thought the whole point of a charge card was, just like a credit card but you can pay it off 20 times in 30 days if you want for example and it won't hurt your score because thats what the card is for.

Maybe I'm wrong though and if I am please enlighten me.

The business green rewards card does not have a pre set limit. It is considered a charge card (because you need to pay it off in full each month). It's pretty much exactly what you're looking for.

your correct.

but, if you are using a credit card for this purpose, it hurts your credit score because you are maxing out the card. They recommend you use less then 30% of your available credit or else your credit score will go down.

not because you are flipping money over and over.
