this graphic is incorrect the 2nd password is still vulnerable to dictionary attacks

edit:

best thing to do is make a passPHRASE not a passWORD and add random capitalization and some repeating characters, for example:

The Hoooorse ATE a Battery annd STEPPED onn a Staple

even better to not even spell them correctly

It isn't vulnerable to dictionary attacks though. You've got 4 dictionary words in there, but that could easily be 3 words, 5 words, 6 words.. Random letters and numbers, etc.. If you use one dictionary word then yes, it's open to attack. By the time you're up at 4 though, it's a shit ton of word combinations to get there.

The second calculation in the image is based on a dictionary attack using just common words.
