Car Shopping.. Need Something Fast & Badass.. Also Comfortable...

not sure where you guys are buying 745's or s5's for 25k...

My cousin got a 08 745 in 2008 from the Pennsylvania auction for like 40K. Who knows what an older one would go for. But you need a dealer to go there. Not too sure if there's a similar auction nearby op.

You could probably pick up a nice used Cadillac CTS-V for around that price range. Roomy, comfortable, north of 500hp.

Here's a comparison vs. the M5 by Motortrend

alot of good ideas in this thread especially the cts-v but I havent seen ANY of them in nor cal. Audi S6 would be cool but its like double what I wanna spend :) at this point im contemplating:

cl55 amg coupe: 20k (close to 80K miles)

also found a 2005 corvette closeby for 25 but its got 70k miles on it

both of these cars promise to be extremely fun to drive.. are both loaded, but they both have kinda high mileage...

ive heard alot of good things about the mercs lasting a long time (granted, expensive to upkeep)

but i havent heard as much about corvettes... any vette owners wanna chime in ? im also guessing since they're domestic they wouldn't be AS expensive as a mercedes to work on too

a lot of s4 and s5 love in this thread. figured i'd chime in... picked up this little slut a few months ago:

thing torches everything from 350z's to 335's and eats wrx's and EVO's for snacktime

I'd say an Audi S6 or S8, M5, or in coupes go big.. CL63.. the 2012 CLS looks kind cool too.

Do you have a budget? A Porsche Panamera turbo would be ridonkulous.

Does it have to be a car?

My Touareg has 300 horsepower (0-60 in 7.6 seconds, which feels a lot faster when you're in a 6,600lb. beast), plenty of room for front and back passengers, and rolls over just about anything. Set the suspension to "sport" and it feels like a sedan. Set it to "Off Road" and it gives you 12 inches of clearance. They also make paddle-shifter kits for added badassness. You can easily find them used for under 30k.

If you're looking for power + luxury you can't go wrong with a Mercedes AMG. Going to be hard to keep it under 30k though.

You can get a 360 + HP, V8 c55 for around 30k. Cars for Sale: 2006 Mercedes-Benz C55 AMG in Annapolis, MD 21403: Sedan Details - 282962484 - AutoTrader.com

Or if you could bump your budget up a little more you can get a 2008 c63 model. This one looks better and has a 450 HP! This car will toss you of the damn road. Would be a little over 40k though. Cars for Sale: 2008 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG in south pasadena, CA 91030: Sedan Details - 280814417 - AutoTrader.com

If you're stuck on 25-30k... you really can't go wrong with a used M3

make sure you can afford to upkeep if you insist on going for some of the suggestions in this thread.

I not only have massaging seats, but dynamic seats where the bolsters inflate to keep you centered around corners.

Great? Yeah whatever, they're fine- but it's not uncommon to have relay problems and repairs run into the $1500 range. Air struts on mercedes routinely fail, expect to pay $1500 to fix one of those as well.

Not trying to ruin your fun, but why not consider a nice older 4 door BMW 335i.

your need for that budget + 350+ hp + 25-30k + luxury is a bit of an oxymoron unless you buy something with a ton of miles on a very high end car that's taken a huge hit and likely needs or will need some $3-5k repair shortly.

High end parts are NOT cheap

Get The E500.

also there not that expensive to service as long as you remember a few things
1.Just because it cost a lot fluids, parts etc need to be replaced.
2.dont go to the stealership
3.you can find comparable or better aftermarket parts than genuine (ex. Benz brake pads and rotors cost a ton, guess where there made? Mexico.)

might cost more for fluid changes, but you only have to do it every 13k miles though, as opposed to the traditional 3k

Northside Imports LLC - they import quality german made parts and the prices are much much cheaper than oem.
They have warehouse here in San Diego, Chicago, and New Jersey.
the price difference is great enough to have parts shipped if you need them.

BTW, they stock for Mercedes, BMW, Audi, etc - german cars. Just a tip for you guys with german autos.
