There are some technical changes you need to do to improve your SEO ranking. First you should try to improve the speed of your website. Then create a mobile friendly app. Lastly is to check on crawl errors. Maybe the reason why you're having trouble is because it's hard for google spiders to crawl and index your site. You might want to check on that.

What are you using to track rankings? I've been using moz and like it so far.

Micro Site Masters is being used by many here (including service providers which post screenshots of SERPs improvements made using their services).

In my opinion, Moz is a bit expensive if your sole use of their service is to track SERPs.
