Do you believe the numbers quoted in this article or do you think that Louis Ramos pumped up his numbers to look more impressive? If Myspace sites are really earning this much, then, jeez, we should all stop what we are doing and start building Myspace sites 24/7.

Wow, that's crazy. I liked the paragraph at the end of the article, discussing the guy who made 'Tom is NOT my friend.' shirts-great idea.

As saturated as it is, I can totally believe he made that much if he got in early. Viral marketing in the extreme.

myspace is really famous right now...everybody knows about it. no wonder that they can earn that much...

I wonder how long it will be before were hear about the Myspace bubble bursting.
You mean myspace.com bubble, or the social-networking sites bubble ?!

i think myspace sites will be around for ages. but the ones launchin more flashy things will get more attention....or profile trackers.

I thought about making a layout generator when the first one I ran into was crap. Now I wish I did :( .

Im not sure the bubble will burst, just that the sites will get more sophisticated. I wasn't aware that there was such a huge market here.

If it wasn't for myspace sites I wouldn't be in this industry, in a couple ways. I'm sure everyone wants to hear my story so.... I was looking at websites for sale in January on some random website (before I know about SP and DNforum) and I saw mypimpspace.com for sale for $1mm. And I also saw that it was making like 150k a month. At first I wanted to buy it...and then I realized I could make my own.....I started plugging away and copying their codes :D and then (I had no idea about keyword research or anything like that) traffic and money started rollin in. I guess I just got lucky, and picked a niche that was extremely easy to get traffic to, and that sparked the whole thing.... So I pretty much have myspace to thank for my involvement and (a little) success in the website industry.

The bubble always bursts. Ok, well maybe not always. I think that Google and Amazon are about the only two sites whose bubble hasn't burst, but given enough time their's probably will too.

May I ask how you promoted it? Did you just start sending messages to your myspace friend list?

I was going to buy 2 myspace websites not that long ago,but i dont think these sites will last much longer. sooner or later google and yahoo will not let theirs ads on myspace sites.

What you do is,spam loads of my space users with a friend request, once you have them as your friend..you spam them again and plug away. You can even buy myspace profles.

In the early days, with ~3k/visitors I didn't use myspace to get one visitor. Now, yes, post comments, lots of them.
