Building a Real Business

I own a "real" business, mentor startups around Vancouver and am always down to talk shop but... skype group?

I think you meant Slack chat.

This. Slack is where it's at. If you're not on it, give it a try. In. Working on a new SaaS now, would like to keep similar folks around.

Awesome to see such a great response! I've messaged everyone whose Skype I don't already have and as soon as I have everyone's info I'll go in and create the group.

A lot of people have mentioned both publicly and privately that they want to keep the room focused. That is something I agree with and something we will be doing. There are a million other Skype groups where you can shoot the shit, but this one will stay on topic.

And if you're interested in joining and haven't posted yet, send me a message or post here and I'll make sure you're added to the list!

I just checked out Slack chat and it might actually be a better way to go here.

I say this because you can divide discussions up into channels. And some of us might be doing SaaS and others might want to talk about creating a product, etc.

Would make things easier to keep convos straight by dividing up the room since we are going to have a lot of people on there.

I'm in. I run a couple info subscription sites and consulting.

I'm in the SaaS group currently and love that one.

I'm willing to join in as well. I've tried my hand at a traditional b2b business and ecommerce as well. Currently looking to try another b2b model or a SaaS that provides more value.

Made a slack username too, just in case: toushi
Skype: toushivoid

Don't know if we'll need to upgrade, but Slack charges 6.67 per user for more API integrations and for a higher message archive limit. Also as a heads up, they don't really have a Linux app (it's a desktop shortcut) for those who use linux.
