Yeah, coulda been a better way to go about it, targeted vengeance woulda served its purpose...like instead of taking down the whole network, secretly tracking the phishers and reporting them so you can exterminate them prolly woulda been more practical, and definately less attention drawn to them, cause i'm sure mill and the whole DT network isn't just gonna sit back.

Jeremy (mill)... I hope you make this kids life a living hell. You could take several approaches I hope You, your lawyers and the DT lawyers come up with the most harsh form of punishment to make the piece of shit that did this to you suffer.
To bad its not Saudi Arabia with public beheading nd shit

Well back at your other post jon, the issue is not with us,,, hell we have had some stupid ass affiliates try some really stupid shit. They all get caught, they all get terminated. We do not allow phishing of any type.

Hell we have had people report links to directtrack, they call us, we terminate the affiliate all is good. The fact is that the 99.9% of the other affiliates that make a living using us, this fukn douchebag cumstain just fucked them over also. thats what pisses me off. And yeah we may have a couple k affiliates, but you need to multiply that by 10-30 as these tubesteak suckers took down 10's of networks. Shows their real skill i guess.

I think the DOS kid should have realized the havoc he was actually going to cause. He probably thought this was all a joke. What a fucking idiot.

I have to wonder why it's so easy for these "little kids" (as you call them) to take down millnic/directtrack? What kind of lacking security do you guys have over there?

Have you taken new precautions so this doesn't happen again?

What is that supposed to imply?

We do not take the precautions, thats what we pay Digital River / DirectTrack to do. So if anyone is cranky, you better believe they are.

You can't be serious right? Dude, amazon went down from the weight of the $100 xbox 360s a while back, and that was just regular users bringing down the servers of the biggest online retailer in the world.

a DDoS is almost impossible to stop when done on a large scale like it seems it was done here.

Wow...Im curious to what will happen. I have to goto sleep though... :( I hope everybody realizes that millnicmedia did not do anything wrong and was simply struck by bad faith...

Sucks

Well an early 20ish male isnt actually a kid. But now I have him. Thx for the tips. DT and I will have fun tommorow! Makes sense, now. ( wonders if mS will want his info also? I bet_) We even have this kids banking info.. HAHAHAHA

mm mm mm my Corona ;) <------ Beer of choice for illegals

How ironic. A criminal commiting a crime for justice. I think it's ridiculous to target MillnicMedia and I hope it gets back up real soon.

Brute Force Hactivist Coalition (BFHC) is a hacktivist group comprised of many anti-spam activists and hackers...

Hmmm…. reminds me of misguided animal-rights activists. Generalizing, out-of-context, self-righteous crap! “Hackers” on a moral crusade….

From the original post:

"we even tested him by letting him phish our test accounts then seeing what spam messages he would post on those phished accounts, all of them of course were MILNIC ads and we sent numerous complaints to MILNIC about this, but came to the realization that they simply did not care and were working hand in hand with these other criminal phishers."

If that is true, then it's a case of the biter being bitten i.e. rough justice.

Regardless of weather it was right or wrong I can bet that MILNIC will catch the phishers/spammers a lot quicker now.

The ironic part of it for me is that, the most popular way I know to do a DDOS attack, is with a bot network. To make a bot network, you have to install Trojans on peoples computers. I put phishing/Trojans in the same category.

Now, if he wants to put his talents to profitable use - such as hacking .edu accounts - he should PM me or smaxor.

Interesting to see the hackers fighting on the same side as myspace, really it should be down to murdoch to clean up his fuckin site rather than just figuring out more ways to influence the users and use their info for his personal gain.

I agree it was out of order for them to take down DT, but if what the statement says is correct and Millnic chose to ignore reports of phishing, then fair enough.

Next time bring down murdochspace though. If ya can hit murdoch where it hurts - take out a fox news or sky datacentre (or please... hack the sun). Make News Corp share prices plummet then they might take notice and stop this shit.

Although networks don't help by not being able to respond to all complaints i feel that it is myspace's responsibility to clean up the website. They have already taken significant steps to end phishing but there has still not been a fix. I am friends with the head of myspace abuse (jason w.) and he has told me they work really hard on getting rid of spam. Its nearly impossible for a website to rid of all spam and that is what needs to be realized. Look at e-mail it is filled with spam and nobody can seem to end the bursts of spam we receive. Its pretty much the same thing

Holy hell, that sucks.

I remember emailing Chickenhole awhile back about a dumbass MySpace phisher. I never got an email back and assumed he just ignored it. Kind of frusterating, but I guess Mill is saying that they really do go after them. I guess I'll have to hunt some more down and report them if that's the case. I can't stand the fact these little pukes think they can get away with pulling this crap.
Retards, all of them.

I agree, spam is hard to stop, but they could at least inform their users about phishing activities.

While banks, credit card companies, even eBay regularly warn their users about phishing, myspace does not. I've never seen an email or homepage message warning users about where they enter their login details. It appears that they don't care as long as the money keeps rolling in and News Corp can gather information and spread influence.
