Alright guys - added a few things to the script!

1. Cookie variable - Now you can set the amount of days the cookie will be active
2. Now works in Google Chrome
3. Code optimization to run smooter
4. Live update - so when changes are made, you don't have to do anything!

Get em while they last!

Early last week, CodSpot asked me to review this product. Initially, I turned him down, as I rarely accept reviews anymore. But then, curiosity got the better of me and I told him I would test it out on an old site that I already has a Facebook Like button on.

The website that I'm testing it on, gets approximately 4,500 - 6,000 uniques a day. I installed the original Like button on it a couple months ago. Over the course of about 2 months, it had gotten 132 likes. Not bad. This is where it was on June 16th at 10:25pm CST.

Since installing the code from CodSpot, the likes are currently at 436 - wait, just refreshed the page and they are at 438.

Just running the numbers:

60 days == 132 Likes
Average of 2.2 Likes per day

2.5 days increased the Likes to 438 or 306 Likes.
Figure about 102 Likes per day since installation (actually more, but I'm dividing Likes by 3 days for simplicity's sake)

I should also note, that I have the time frame set to 3 seconds and not the default 7 seconds. I think this is something that you could play around with to figure out where the "sweet spot" is. I just set it at 3 and left it.

Traffic-wise, analytics doesn't show any noticeable increase in traffic. To be fair, CodSpot never says it will increase traffic. So, this is just an observation and not a judgement on the script.

The script works and works well. It does exactly what it's supposed to.

Is it worth $20? In my opinion, yes. If you are looking for an auto like script that works, this is it.

Want a disclaimer? I didn't pay $20 for it, it was given to me to review. This review is based solely on my observations and opinions. If it sucked, you guys know I would have said so, but it does exactly what it was designed to do. What more do you want?

/edit/ just refreshed my site again and it's up to 442. This is fun :D

/edit #2/ This is the original "Like" button I'm using on that site: http://developers.facebook.com/docs/guides/web#plugins

Thanks Mike! Great review!

There you have it folks!

Unlimited licenses available!

As far as increasing traffic, it has potential seeing as it posts to users fb walls when they like it. Potentially bringing in their friends who view their page.

Thanks again Mike!

You're welcome CodSpot!

512 Likes showing now. It will be interesting to see if it affects traffic at all. I have my doubts simply because this site has ranked #2 for a high volume keyword for over 2 years now. It's never been number 1, but it also hasn't dropped. Still, I'm impressed to see that the script works as advertised. It definitely increased the "Likes".

You deserved the positive review.

This script does work exactly as advertised.

Unfortunately, it is showing as a virus by antivir and warns user to close the page. Not sure what other programs are as well but I'm sure they will be following suit.

I do think a few extra steps can be taken to cloak the origins of the script that is running.

Working on a repair for the site being under watch - it's doing it because it's now known as "click jacking" which has been flagged by a lot of people. Will update this thread with repairs.

if it's the JS showing up as a virus I can help you get around that.

It's impossible to disable upon click. Seeing as it's iframing Facebook, so the script wont recognize mouse clicks, just time limits.

That is why we made the customization easy - along with Cookie variable to disable after 1 page load, and time limits. All of it can be customized via our web based script customization script that you receive after purchase.

Thanks.

doesnt work for me... says invalid license if I click the link directly, double and triple checked my license and it seems to be right...

Sorry, what do you mean by that?

The sales page says the target page will be "liked" on page load, but the original script required a click. Your scrips works on page load and doesn't require a click? Just clarifying I read it correctly.

Did you get the problem fixed with it showing up as a virus?
