I have found a few adwords keywords that I believe will be quite profitable that are related to business. I would like to build a website around these keywords but I can't decide if I should make a blog or a content site for best results. A blog would suite it nicely and would be easier to maintain but I don't know how well ads do on blogs vs. a content site. Basically the website will consist of articles dealing with the specific issue of business I will be dealing with. Eventually I intend using both types of sites, but for now I want to focus on one. I know I'm being vague about it but hopefully I can get some input from you guys. Thanks.

They are interchangable. By adding a comments script app and an 'about me' page a content site can become a blog.

Why not use wordpress and a use a static front page? That way you get a site that has all the built-in benefits of a blog (already SEO'd-out, RSS feeds, pings, commenting, etc.) but doesn't really look like a blog. In terms of ad-placement there are lots of free themes and plugins that allow you to put your ads in the best places.

Try a content site first! You can never b sure of blogs but content sites, with the right marketing always do well in the long run!
