Bitcoin is not market money

The fact of the matter is that bitcoins are currently the best available solution to a very difficult problem. That problem being how to instantly and (mostly) anonymously send money irreversibly for a very low fee. They are also, in some instances, the only possible payment for goods and services (which is the exact definition of money). As such, they have value and will continue to have value until such a time as a better solution to that problem is developed.

Whether their current value relative to USD or another currency will increase or decrease in the future is irrelevant to the point of whether bitcoins have value (they do) and are used as money (they are).

The thing that sucks is it sounds like Luke didn't invest much of his own money into bitcoin. It would have been awesome to see some random neckbeard named Luke on TV who's now worth $100mm saying "they all laughed at me!"

would love to know the man hours that lukep has spent defending, complining, and sucking off btc in posts on WF.

No likes in this thread. Can't tell what's good and not.

once i started making money again.. posts like this on WF make me want to goto sleep... all this talk about 'money' and arguing over types of money .. instead of making some yourself.

just what i came to the conclusion of.

BC x CHAT x 1brainJoule x BADfacts x FLBSTRS = wasted time.

Wow, apparently there was a day when I didn't own any bitcoin yet.

Hard to believe, but true. Ah, memories.

So BITCOIN was at $5 when Luke was getting bashed here...wow..
Sept 2011 it ranged from $11 to $2, and I didn't buy until next year at $6.

Interestingly, a couple of months before it spiked at $35... The very first 'bubble'.

Defending: 945,294 hours.
Complining: WTF is a "compline?"
Sucking off: That's between me and bitcoin, you perv. :action-smiley-052:

Also I'm laughing inside because there were some people on this board who really thought this was a great idea and invested in this shit when it was at like 16-20$ a bit coin. The rate has dropped like a rock since then and is around 5$ right now. Good luck bros.
