I'm "friends" with my 18 year old niece on FB.

Her and her friends are all idiots. Worse, their idiocy is compounded when it feeds off of each other. Before long, you have exponential idiocy.

Needless to say, I avoid looking at FB. I'm too old to read that shit.

I was telling a friend the other day that if I actually used FB to connect, I would have zero female friends. Once you stop trying to get into girls' pants, there are few, if any, compelling reasons to keep them close.*


* I'm talking socially. Clearly, there is much to gain business-wise.

I disagree. Females can bring a different environment than just hanging with dudes as friends. I have some female friends that are platonic and it's cool to have girls to chill with other than the one I'm seeing. Unless you're with some insecure ass girl then chilling with other girls shouldn't be an issue with or without your own girl. Or unless you really can't control trying to fuck every girl that notices your existence.

Idk. Girls and guys can't really be friends. Mostly because the girl will always want more.
 
Sexual tension in some way is inevitable due to nature. Common sense is what sets us apart of other animals. Use it and you gain. Acting on any sense of semi-attraction is just nonsensical. Am I guilty of ruining a few good friendships due to this? Yeah, of course. I just do not act on anything subtle anymore if I feel there is a good friendship potentially.

I believe you have misunderstood me. Let me clarify. I am older than most here, and have been around a lot of females. Most are loud, obnoxious, and irritating. As a youth, I endured these qualities because the product (sex) was worth the price (tolerance). As an older man, the product is no longer worth the price. With the product removed from the table, there is nothing worth staying for.
