Bill Maher: Anyone watch his show on HBO

I figure since I haven't seen any politic talk on here, I should start one.

Bill Maher has his own show on HBO (if you have comcast on demand, you can watch like 10 of the shows on there).

He, in my opinion, speaks the truth about 90% of what he talks about, and says what everyone THINKS, but never really says on the news. Anyone else see this show/watch it.

What are your thoughts on politics in general? are you Democrat or Republican? Anything else youd like to drop.

(im just now really getting into more politics so I'm not 100% about everything, but his shows IMO make it interesting to listen to)

Great show - both entertaining and informative. On the comedy side, Jon Stewart is great.

I think the 2 party system is bullshit in general - both sides have to appeal to their "party lines" to become viable presidential candidates, and it really dissuades genuine candidates from talking about what's best for this country on an issue by issue basis. It's bullshit.

The US has a ton of problems - but I think many of them would be alleviated by focusing MUCH more on improving the education system. Not only through increased financial resources but by become more efficient and relevant. The whole war thing pisses me off - we could have spent those billions of dollars on our own country, and other countries, making them BETTER places rather than destroying things.

I'm neither democrat nor republican...I'm American. And for the most part, I think Maher is a douche bag.

Maher's hilarious. Do I agree with him most of the time? Nope. But that doesn't take away from him being funny and witty.

I would agree with that. Jon Stewart is so funny.
