Big Ben Suspended for 6 Games

Huge Steelers fan and of course I think it is too harsh. He should have gotten 2 games at the most since he was never even charged with a crime. For fuck's sakes, Vick got a 2 game suspension for a felony. I think it will be reduced eventually, hopefully before Week 4 (Ravens).

I guess you are Ravens fan? What do you think of it as a fellow AFC North fan? Big Orioles fan here too, even though they suck lol

Based on other things Goodell has done, I'd say it's fair.

He also may no longer be in Pittsburgh after this week.

didn't vick get suspended for almost an entire season before he started jail?...then once he came back was suspended another two games...

It may have been an indefinite suspension actually but after he got out, it was 2 games. That's honestly a tough one to call because he did serve jail time too, so I could see now how it really isn't the same because he was away from the game longer.

I think the most it gets reduced is 2 games, meaning you're going to have to play 1 game against the Ravens w/o Ben. I think it's probably a bit too harsh, but the drunk needs a wakeup call. I also think he's being made an example of.

Also, :nopenope::nopenope::nopenope:

um, he is a good QB, and has two rings to show for it. The penalty is completely unfair. Ray Lewis killed a man, and never got any suspension. Michael Irvin put more coke up his nose in public that Escobar and never got suspended.

Goodell is on a power trip, and is pretty much saying NFL Law trumps legal law. Ben is also the first NFL player to be suspended for something that he was not charged/convicted of in the court of law.

Total BS

Ray Lewis did not kill a man...

And those punishments were under Tagliabue. Goodell has been pretty consistent with his punishments just like Tagliabue was.

Nice poster Bofu!

I'm a Ravens fan and I'm happy. Do I think the suspension is justified? I thought it would be 4 games. I think its fair compared to how this commish runs the NFL now.

And I've heard Pitt might try and trade Big Ben now as well. Plus some paper in Pitt. had a poll about Big Ben and it was half and half. Half want him gone other half doesn't.

If he does get traded it will be tmwr night during the NFL draft.
