No, because packaging is just one part of it.

So we have DCVS (git) + package management for any language that any of us are using + multiple MVC frameworks to choose from for any language + plenty of well written packages that are open source already.

What else are you adding? You keep saying that anything we talk about is just a part of it, so enlighten us on what we're missing.

And with that, I'm out of this thread. I'm not here to defend myself, or compete with Github / Composer. None of you who replied even bothered taking a look, so it's pretty dumb to provide feedback and / or criticism when you haven't even taken the time to look at what you're providing feedback on.
