Best thing to spend $50 on, if you're a n00b?

Good stuff, Vas... after having spent thousands and thousands on crappy e-books, shitty applications and general junk pimped by the "gurus" I'm scared to try anything new. But seeing your successes, and the advice that a lot of the people here provide I will start putting the dozens of domains that I have to good use.

I've started with one, it's a travel site but really haven't monetized it except for a few offers from Linkshare - no Amazon or CB or AdSense on it.

I haven't even tried PPC as yet on that site... but the weird thing is that I do get between 50 and 100 visits per day but they are all from non North American searches!!! I don't know how much someone searching and finding the site in Pakistan will spend (seriously Pakistan).

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and time typing the answers. It's really helpful. I really don't feel like I'm lost, I kinda always know what to do in my circumstances, and slowly proceed. Now I feel like, yeah, organic traffic is really the best option. PPC is so f*ckin' unpredictable.

So, the answer to my topic title is "Domains & Hosting" I guess.

I thought maybe someone would say "OMFG, you definitely have to join WA, why U didn't? o_O" or stuff like that, e. g. something important that I missed. Looks like there is no such a thing, and that's good.

@bay37: Nice plan, 10x!

@Volume10: You're so f*cking right! And my name is Ilya. Peace!

@TheMoMan: U never know. We had rich clients even from South Africa at work. And Pakistan has 5 times more people than Canada. So, test, test and f*ckin' test again. Good luck!

$5/month?! Dude, I bought a year of hosting (Linux, CPanel, 1 GB, PHP, MySQL, addon domains) for $5! It was a promotion, found it on WebHostingTalk.

10x 4 the support anyway :)

BTW I got 3 more leads from FB. +$18 in commissions, -$90 in clicks. Duh... If it was my real money, I would kill myself. Luckily it was the coupon I bought for $6. No Facebooking anymore...
