Looking to start buying some sites in the 5-10,000$ range, but I've been looking at these website auction type sites like flippa.com and all the sites listed are garbage...

Flippa is about the best you are going to find in the open, auction-style market. Most are junk but there are some diamonds every now and then. But that site is definitely more of a seller's market.
Other then that, you can do some old fashioned research on your own and contact the owners directly. It may be hard but you never know unless you give it a shot.

Go to a store in your city, find what you like etc then you can probably negotiate a discount there or find that watch online. I wouldn't just find it online then buy it.
